We uswd website to check out new coffee shops/cafe in Tagaytay and decided on Cafe Carmencita based on the pictures and menu. It did not disappoint in terms of ambiance for we love cozy with lots of green spaces. The only let down is that the ensaymada is already all out. It would have been the pefect pair for the tsokolate e, which proved to be really thick and creamy as it says in the menu. I detect a hint of choc nut which gave the drink a nutty feel. Our favorite is the Dark Chocolate Turtle Pie and the freshly made Foccaccia with Sun dried Tomato and Pesto Dip. The Chicken Pie is also good and served perfectly hot. Other sweet offerings are the Salted Caramel Cheesecake and Neapolitan Cheesecake.

Prices were reasonable for the food, service and ambiance. The parking lot is a bit small. The overall experience is great however, there were times when it felt like the restaurant is undermanned. The place gets crammed from lunch until noon.

Cafe Carmencita's Australian rib eye served with mashed potato and caesar salad, isnt something special. The restaurant was over priced and the servings size was small. The flavor was normal but the place was comfortable. I would recomend the place for a romatic dinner but dont expect to much of the food.⭐⭐⭐

A quaint restaurant, peaceful..food was very decent..service can do a bit better. The nicest person there was the one who helped us maneuver out of our parking slot.

I have to give this resto a 5.0! I haven't tried all their dishes, and truth to tell I only got to try their dessert but it was divine! The turtle pie was superbly delicious. It was a rare find. It was made of belgian chocolate and has little or no flour nor starch at all!. It exceeded my expectations. The chicken pie too was one of a kind. It was filled with chicken strips and was priced at only 60 pesos! Lastly, the place was awesome. It was a beauty. I felt like I was having tea in my grandma's garden. I was easily transported back home. Thank you Carmencita's. Will definitely be back!

The place I think was an old house turned into a cafe, thus the cozy feel. So, we ordered their Salted Caramel Cheesecake and Neopolitan Cheesecake. Plating for both cakes are very nice! 👏🏻 The salted caramel cheesecake costs Php150, taste is decent. The caramel is on the strong side, and also the cake have lemon zest so there is an aftertaste. The Neopolitan cheesacake on the other hand, costs Php180. This cake is different from other cheesecakes I've tried, not too sweet and has 4 layers - cheesecake, chocolate, strawberry and brownie. I would recommend this one over the salted caramel cheesecake.

One long weekend in Tagaytay we opted out to check this place, I've seen this homey cafe every time I pass by the area going to Alfonso. Since Starbucks at the time was jam packed almost all branches, we gave this cafe a try. Homey feel, Turtle pie was good but nothing special. Love the chocolate eh and chocolate ah! Good alternative for merienda and coffee break whick you can chat the whole afternoon with friends and family minus the crowd.

Great cheesecakes!!! Neopolitan the best. Had lengua, seafood pasta, lasagna and salad and soup and chicken pie. The food was great.. pasta aldente but I've had better. The ambience was very homey... it is actually the home of the owner... they live upstairs 😄. We come back to this place for the desserts... yum yum yum

We went here for early lunch. I like the place..the homey feeling. we ordered 2 bowls of Bulalo but unfortunately only one serving (good for sharing) is available. The veggies are almost over cooked, it felt like it was reheated from a night before,.. otherwise if it's newly cooked then it should have been more to serve.
