Overall, i would say 4.5 and to compensate for the other 4.5s who gave a 4, i ended up giving a 5star rating on displayDecided to try this because it hit 3 criteria i had:1.opens for breakfast (7am on holidays and weekends)2.ridgeview (and what a view)3.high overall website rating (deservedly so)This resto is part of a 5 resto,4 suite inn complex called cliffhouse. If youre not looking for it, youll probably miss it. Tip:after you see the yellowcab sign after balay dako, get ready to turn left coming from manila. Opposite direction: charitos by bag of beans is the place before this.Got to say, location-wise it got lucky with tagaytays rerouting scheme. It doesnt get barricaded off like the restos near the rotonda, and it also comes before the one way traffic scheme area which affected a good number of crowd-drawing establishments.Ambiance 5+Im putting ambiance first because, hey, its a ridge view resto...so youre likely after that right? There are 5 other restos in cliffhouse and this is one of two thats closest to the edge of the ridge.I imagine it would be different if i came on a busier day or time, but there wasnt a lot of people so you could generally feel being one with nature and the quiet.crickets were loud but, hey, its the outdoors. Luckily, no flies hovering around us (unlike what happened to the other reviews). Got to sit on a nook-like area with a majestic view of the lake. They had 5 or 6 tables like this, although 2 have a rather compromised view due to location of their service station. The common toilet was also very nicely interiored. And i was shocked that the soap dispensed wasnt watered down like how it usually is in malls. Thats worth a mention, i think.Food 4.5Had the osso buco, back ribs and shrimp bisqueShrimp bisque was very salty and flavorful to the point where it was too overpowering. Luckily, you can pair it with the while-you-wait bread to kind of fix thatOsso buco kinda reminded me of caldereta - serving so large i couldnt finish it. Veggies on the side were seasoned well and cooked how i like my veggies - firm but not crunchy. Would have again, but want to try their other dishes next time first.Ribs have rave reviews and we agree its a safe order. We ordered it coz they were out of the first choice which was rack of lamb. No need really for the sauce which its served with. The roasted potato on the side is the best.Service 4Food came out faster than we could finish the bread, which also came in basically a hand towel blanket to keep it toasty despite the weather. Worth to note that food is served very hot to compensate for the weather, which means your food is never cold even in the cool climate. Given how few people needed to be served, servers could have been more attentive in waiting on us... but cant completely complainPrice 4While the servings are large, it is a bit on the pricey side. Our order came out to just about 2k. Worth it yes, but youll still feel the pinch out of the walletBeware the parking - if you dont get a validated coupon,500 for the 1st 2 hours. Ample parking i would say, given that its 60 slots for 5 restos and a 4 suite hotel. I dont think the 5 restos have 10 tables each anyway, and even if they did, unlikely that all of them would get filled.

Celebrated our 3rd anniversary here. My girlfriend and I are craving for italian cuisine. So we look up in website and found this resto. We ordered bruschetta, pizza margherita, spaghetti with meatballs and salmon rissotto. All the dishes were great and the price is reasonable. The dishes are great for sharing if you are a couple. All in all it's a nice italian resto with a great value for money.

It's my first time to go there and it was nice. Approachable staff, great food is worth the price. Plus the view of taal lake.

Great wait staff. Excellent and accommodating service. Pasta perfectly al dente, risotto smooth and pearly. Lamb chop initially overcooked (we asked for medium rare), sent it back and they very willingly replaced it without fuss. Overall a decent dining experience with a view of Taal volcano and lake 🌋🌋as we requested outdoor seating👌🏻🌋🌋

I realize that I’ve never reviewed this resto that my family goes to whenever we’re in Tagaytay. We just went the other day and I’m reminded of how much we love this restro. Shout out to the salmon risotto (has an Italian name on the menu) and carbonara, my mom’s favorite. Pizza and main dishes are good too but we order different ones every visit. Try to get a table outside for a view of the lake.
