The unfortunate thing about Calderon is it’s right across a more publicized and swankier Spanish restaurant. It was deserted on a Saturday night which can put you off if you’re looking for a lively place. But that is a positive for me, as the place seems more private, unpretentious and cozier. We ordered the gambas, salpicao and calamares, and they were excellent. The Sangria was refreshing and surprisingly strong. Then we ordered a fish dish with verde sauce and that was equally yummy. I was surprised not a lot of people go here. With the website privilege, it is doubly worth it.
