Sonny of Asiong’s of Cavite never cease to satisfy. We’re a group of 10 persons and had a busy afternoon ahead of us. Sonny accommodated our pre-ordered authentic Caviteno lunch. It was ready by the time we arrive and we had plenty of time to enjoy the place and some photoshoot. Talking about up close and personal service from the food guru himself! Love you Sonny!

We love off-the-beaten path places to eat and explore. Highly recommended by our hotel host, it did not dissapoint. We ordered crispy pata kare-kare for dinner. Was good for our family of 4. To end the meal we enjoyed the tablea hot chocolate. We dined at the alfresco area surrounded by an herb garden. We also met Sonny the owner of the place. Asiong is his father and they've been in the restaurant business for more than 50 years.

Great food. The al fresco dining area is great and relaxing. We were the only ones there so there was a dedicated server to attend to our needs since the main restaurant area was a bit far. So definitely great service. We ordered the kare-kare, bulalo, halo-halo and barako coffee. Definitely worth the trip and worth coming back too.

One of the best Cheesecake I’ve ever tasted! We ordered Fried Chicken and Bangus (not in the photo though) and it was good too! Of course, it’s perfectly paired with a garlic rice! My fiance and I had an early Sunday dinner date at their Al Fresco and I must say, it’s such a chill place! I love it! BTW, It’s called, Caviteno Cheesecake 🤩

it was my first time to try Asiong's. i was ensnared by the view of the place. the old soul in me had a profound feeling of joy and curiosity. the garden facade welcomed us where we met mr. sonny watering the plants surrounding us, and said, "we grow our own veggies here.." curiosity is now a notch higher. i fell in love with the dining area called the "al fresco" where you will dine with nature and her cool breeze.the pako salad, edible ferns garnished with edible flower petals lightly drizzled with refreshing fruity and tangy dressing, danced its way to tease our appetite.when the famous pancit choco en su tinta touched my lips, i was in awe! the harmony of noodles in squid ink is like an orchestra of delectable ingredients serenading my taste buds!the barako coffee with roasted ground rice, is best black adding their own concoction of muscovado sugar, cinnamon sticks and nutmeg has a burst of complimenting flavor. I am guilty of being a caffeine dependent but it was the most charming cup of joe i ever had so far.talk about service, we were not just served. we were spoiled by the kindest staff.asiong's is like a time machine that teleported us to quietude. a great place for quality time with family and friends.and yes, that inspiring colloquy with sir sonny that left a mark "always think out of the box".. thank you sir sonny! we'll see you again soon!

Dined here last Feb. 5 for the advance celebration of my, and my brother in law’s birthday. It was my first time to be here, and I was kinda surprise to know this place as it is hard to reach if you’ll be commuting. It is located in Bucal, Silang, Cavite but just around 2Km from Tagaytay. The ambience in their resto is just fine. You can just see some old stuff and paintings. The food that we ordered taste like ordinary to my tounge. It is just similar to those that your mom cooks for you. ◾️The crispy pata is not really crispy. It is kinda hard to chew specially the skin part. ◾️Kare-kare sauce is not thick, which is its usual texture. I love the bagoong which is partnered to it. It’s not too salty nor sweet, but it has that milky taste that resembles that of Alaska’s evaporated milk :)◾️Pansit pusit looks interesting to eat because of its black color. It’s delicious but nothing special on its taste. ◾️Shrimp with rosemary and garlic is just fine. Tastes like the usual buttered shimpr with garlic, just add the rosemary to it. ◾️The laing is good. It is dry, but the leaves are not. Feels like the coconut milk has sinked in to the gabi. Don’t worry, it’s not too spicy. ◾️The serving of rice is better to serve 3-4 people in my opinion (only 2-3 in the menu), because it is of a big serving.

Food tours are one of our favourite ways to travel. On one hand, they give you a taste of the best food and places to eat in. On the other, food tours also give you a unique story of how the local food scene has been shaped by the history, culture, and beliefs of the people. And vice-versa. Most recently, we went on a 2-day Calabarzon Culinary Tour with the QuePATTA (Quezon Province Association of Travel and Tour Agencies) and the Department of Tourism. And it left us with nothing but good memories and full bellies! So read on to check out our tour highlights of this Heritage and Food trip of Southern Tagalog.

ASIONG by Mr. Sonny LuaAsiong takes pride in being an ALL CAVITEÑO Restaurant, having a touch of the different places within whole province with each item on the menu.It all started with Sir Sonny’s parents establishing Asiong’s Café and Carinderia in Cavite City just a humble place where locals would be able to enjoy good food. But from such humble beginnings made this not so ordinary Carinderia be a landmark destination for foodies for it would transport you to such a wonderful food adventure.Migrating from the local wayside of Cavite City to the tourist destination city of Silang, which is just a stone throw away from Tagaytay. Asiong was able to pack all the goodness and offering they have before and even innovated it to enhance one’s experience not only of the food but of the overall experience of the province of Cavite.Foodies would always be in search for a place that showcase a deep understanding of different flavor profiles and the way local folks actually cook and eat their food using basic ingredients that nature has blessed them with. But having to look for one is not as easy as one can think of. A great deal of research and hard labor would be needed to find a great place to dine. But Asiong would not just be an option but rather the go to place once you are near Tagaytay or Silang. A place to rest your mind, to fill you heart and your stomach with such sumptuous meals they offer. Each meal would be able to offer such a balance among the most overwhelming ingredients. Just take into account Sir Sonny’s Pancit Pusit or “Pancit Choco En Su Tinta” that uses one would say be very basic and have basic ingredients but Sir Sonny was able to elevate such simple meal be such a memorable one balancing all flavors within a dish.I know I am not such a food critic like the rest of the people. But I surely know what food I love to go back for more. If ever you are planning to go to Tagaytay or Silang, do not for get to drop by and be inspired to dine around the province of Cavite within one restaurant. Just Waze yourself to Asiong and find yourself a gateway to a wonderful food adventure.#dream #explore #discover #foodtrip

A delightful restaurant in the midst of willow garden. Red protruding flower adorn its entrance. It's more refreshing at the Al Fresco located at the back portion of the resto. Pancit Pusit has unique and acceptable taste although messy. The cheesecake is a real treat and so as the bulalo. There's ample parking space inside and the place is neat.
