We had a couple of things, their tuna and avocado salad, their rainbow roll, the aburi salmon nigiri, the wagyu cubes teppanyaki, the squid teppanyaki, the chicken teriyaki donburi, and the aozora ramen. The salad, I didn't really love, I'm not a big avocado person to start, and the dressing had a pretty noticeable kick of wasabi which kind of took over everything. The sushi was a letdown for me. There was way too much rice for the amount of fish, in both instances. Also their rice fell apart quite easily and wasn't seasoned enough. I would say that you should skip the sushi here.Their main dishes fared much better, all of them were pretty good, though they were just kind of your standard Japanese resto food. I wish the chicken teriyaki had more sauce, that's about it. The aozora ramen is okay, it's got like bulalo beef in it, but the broth doesn't really taste like all that much for me, it doesn't taste like bulalo which is what I was looking for.Service was good, they were quite attentive and friendly. All in all this was alright, I just would not have their sushi again.

Last January, Ian and I celebrated our 8th anniversary as a couple in our favorite go-to destination in the South, Tagaytay. We spent 3 days in Tagaytay so we really maximized our time visiting new places and restaurant. LOL. Yep! We’ve been there so many times yet we keep on coming back. We consider Tagaytay as our second home.

Here’s another restaurant to add to your must-try list when visiting Tagaytay: Aozora Japanese Restaurant. Aozora literally means “Blue Sky” in Japanese. It refers to the food quality served in Aozora: “the place where your taste meets the sky.”. Aozora is notable because it’s the first Japanese restaurant established in Tagaytay. At the time of our visit, they have 2 branches in this city.

The place is not pwd-ready but the staff make up for it. Warm service and they are very patient with my little menace.

I loved the ambiance and the service. Staff was nice and very respectful. Sadly the food was terrible. Ordered Spicy Salmon roll, Uni Sashimi, Miso Ramen, their grilled US beef (forgot the exact name) and calofornia Maki.To start off the food was not fresh. The uni didn't have any taste it what so ever, almost bland. The vegetables it came with tasted like it was 3 days old. The ramen was a step down from your instant ramen sorry to say. Just disappointing over all. The grilled beef was wat too expensive for such a few slices of beef. The california roll, meh. Same as the spicy salmon roll.If you go to tagaytay you'd be better off spending money somewhere else. Love staff, hate the food.
