Yen Yen started as a small business that sells Taiwanese sauces. Then it evolved into a noodle cart business that sells beef wanton noodles which is located in Shaw Boulevard. And because their stall is too small to accommodate large number of customers they transferred into a bigger place in San Juan. The restaurant can accommodate 25-30 persons. Yen Yen serves a variety of dishes like noodles, dim sum, pork and chicken dishes and also desserts. The owner of Yen Yen let us try 7 of their best dishes. Here are the sumptuous meals that we tried:Taipei Braised Beef Noodle Soup. This is one of their bestseller dish. The soup is perfect during chilly weather. The beef is so tender to chew. The soup has a mixture of flavour. It is somewhat sweet with a little bit of salty taste.Taiwan Special Fried Rice. I love their fried rice. It is so flavourful. This goes well with their fried dishes.Taiwan pork chop. This is my favorite among the dishes I’ve tried at Yen Yen. The meat is perfectly cooked because it’s crispy and yet juicy inside. The serving is also big perfect for sharing. This goes well with their three sauces: wasabi mayo, chili sauce and their garlic sauce.Hot and Spicy Pork Blood and Intestine. If you’re a fan of Dinuguan then this dish is for you. I am not that fan of dinuguan but this one taste good. This dish has a mixture of flavors. It is uber spicy but delicious.Stir Fry Pork Kidney. I was my first time to try pork kidney at first I am kinda hesitant to try it but when I did oh it taste so good. The pork kidney is so tasty. It’s soft to bite and it has no after taste.Taiwan Sate Chami. This is the Taiwanese version of our pansit. This meal is actually complete because it has vegetables, noodles and meat. The serving is good for 1-2 persons.Boiled Dumplings. This was freshly made by one of the owners of Yen Yen. The filling consists of vegetables and meat. You can eat this with or without sauce.Another must try at Yen Yen is their Green Iced Tea. You can order this regular or bottomless.Overall I will rate Yen Yen 4/5 because they serve good quality and affordable meals. Thank you again website for inviting me in this event.Yen Yen Taiwanese Street FoodP. Guevarra corner Wilson Street, Little Baguio, San Juan City(02) 234 2162Opens at 11 AM to 11 PM

Yen yen restaurant served authentic Taiwanese fare. The place is quite small and if not for their brightly lit sign, one wouldn't even notice it. Their best sellers are the noodles, stir fried kidney, dumplings and porkchop. The restaurant offers delivery option as long as it is within the vicinity.

Chanced upon this place on a Sunday evening and at almost 11pm, people were still eating. Ordered chicken chops, fried wontons, and salt and pepper tofu -- all were good, prices are affordable too.

Yen Yen is a Taiwanese cuisine restaurant featuring the very popular fried chicken chop and pork chop. I tried this place twice already since they moved from gilmore/granada. The first time we actually ate there and the second time I took out some chicken chop to munch on.The service and the place is okay. Their prices match the setup of the place and service is apt.The food is also okay, it's nothing special though and personally if based on taste alone I would choose other Taiwanese restaurants to eat. However, their pricing is lower than the others. Matching said pricing with acceptable food quality makes yen-yen a not so bad option.

Last week I had a late lunch at Yen Yen and i am so hungry that time I ordered one of my favorite dimsum the Spicy Wonton as my appetizer and Seafood Bihon Soup as my main.  All taste deliciously good.   I ended up with their house special ice cream.  I am totally satisfied, so full and feel bloated. So yummy.
