Before anything - props, recognition and accolade must be given to Tropical Hut for surviving and hanging on in the face of Fast Food greats like McDs and JBee. Seriously. Tropical Hut is an institution. Have some respect. Put away the critiques and accept Tropical Hut for what it is. T.Hut is a piece of my childhood. Alongside Cindy's Chicken (which is gone now, rip), My parents used to bring me here. It's far from gourmet but its close to my heart. Boyfriend and I went for our weekly Fridate. Not so romantic I know but we both had a great time. It was my first time back as an adult. The tropical hut cheeseburger is decent, I enjoyed it. Their fries are crisp and tasty! Their chicken, tastes ok but would taste infinitely better if it was freshly cooked (not reheated). I guess its cuz we went during an off hour. Best thing is that it is cheaper than the major chains, we paid P265 for all our food. I'm coming back to order the spaghetti, chicken salad and other offerings. Man. Call it nostalgia or whatever but I love this place. It's nice to be back home.

I'm giving credit to this Filipino food house not just for its no-frills delicious meals, but also for sticking up to the competitive local fast food chain industry for quite some time. From childhood, I can recall that they serve good burgers, especially their fried chicken which is personal favorite. Their fried chicken meal used to be in large pieces though. For this branch, I think they just need to tidy-up the place a bit. That's all.

tropical hut has been here since forever and I'm glad it has lasted despite all the newer restaurants popping up. Tropical hut used to be the primo fastfood before jollibee a generation ago but sadly they have clearly been overrun. nevertheless it is always nice to see that they are still here and doing good (I believe) with their select locations. tropical hut burgers are the classic pinoy taste of pinoy burgers that we have grown up with. Truly a novelty nowadays and in a way matches the in and out burger experience (I guess not in burger quality but more of in the novelty sense).

Back when I still eat meat and fast food, I could finish two Tropical Hut burgers in one shot. I'd be immensely happy every time my mum would say that we're going to Greenhills, because it means we'd go through the tiangge separately and just meet later at an agreed time in Tropical Hut to eat. Aside from the burger, I'd also have either the halo-halo or black gulaman. Then we'd order for take-away about 10 burgers, a couple of chicken sandwiches, and a couple of spaghetti. The place can use some upgrading, but everyone I know who's familiar with Greenhills from way back when still loves Tropical Hut up to this day.

Food is good, like really good, especially for what you're paying, which is like hella cheap! But the interior of the place could use some renovation. This branch is where I go to the most since we're at Greenhills on a weekly basis.I recommend their burgers, especially the double. Their chicken tastes like home-cooked fried chicken.I love their breakfast meals because it's so hearty and not at all fast-foodish! My husband loves their clubhouse sandwiches and fries.
