😚FOLLOW threelittlebites AT website AND IG😚FOODFORTHOUGHT:🍉Shabu-shabu and Barbecue BuffetThe pioneer in Shabu-Shabu buffet in Manila, Tong Yang has been around even decades before the strings of Korean shabu shabu and bbq buffet restaus mushroomed in every corner of the city. Hence? it is a good thing they are still around and active in the food scene. Their bbq buffet has limited choices compared to other buffet resraus but I love that they have freshly sliced pork and beef belly bacons upon request. What they lack in bbq choices they more than make up for in their shabu-shabu buffet. They are truly the king of shabu-shabu in Manila! all sorts of fish and seafood balls, fresh seafoods, meat and veggies are displayed on the buffet corner. Ypu can choose 2 out of 3 soup base choices: satay, clear, sinigang. I like the satay best! There are limited cooked food as wellnif you are too hungry to cook and wait. They have crispy pata, fried dumplings and crabs in that corner. There are a few dessert choices including Halohalo amd ice cream. What I love though are the wide array of drink choices from beer to juices to sodas. Coffee is also part of the buffet.REALFEELS: It looks flashy from the outside but quite disappointed that the chairs and tables are already aging. Some of the chairs have peeling covers. The plates are a mix of new and vold chipped ones. I tried their branch in Centris and I love that one better. Maybe it is time the promenade branch sort out and freshen up their fixtures amd furnitures.However kudos to their kind and honest staff!!! They are friendly and alert and above all, honest! I left my walletnon the table and they went out of their way to return it to me.PURSEPOWER: At 550 for lunch or just shabu shabu dinner and 650 for shabu shabu and bbq dinner, this is one of rhe cheapest buffet tin town. Conssidering the quality of food you are getting, ut is really a good value for your penny!BROWNIEPOINTS: Make an advanced reservation esp during dinner to get good seats. Skip the sushi rolls and just save your tummy space for the shabushabu and bbq.

Went to greenhills.to find and to have the ipad repaired after walking ang got hungry around 120pm and decided to eat at tongyang coz.we are all.so hungry its our 1st time to try this branch. Well when we arrive the receptionist told us last call will be at 230pm anyway we still.dine in. Lots off food choices price is affordable. Place is ok.

The soup so salty, shrimp and squids past ball not so fresh. The services needed improvement, the waiter refused to bring the food up to us. We had to go down every once in a while to get our food.

There was a time when I was in greenhills and I suddenly craved for a shabu shabu and a grill so I thought of having my early dinner here since it was the only place there that serves what I'm craving and a buffet. The place is huge! Typical chinese shabu2 buffet style......Lots of varieties to choose from....Service is good.... beef shabu2's marbling is just ok.

Very good food all the ones that rated this restaurant 1 star is wrong, if you want high quality hotpot you don’t go to tongyang, that aint their market lol pumunta kayo sa four seasons lolol

TERRIBLE service and variety of food. Had a hygiene issue regarding a rat. The manager didn’t assisted us nor escalated the problem; glad some of the waiters are more accommodating. Also asked a waiter for a refill on a drink - since I was seated at the corner end of the table which needed to ask the one’s beside me to stand in-order to give way. Thus he turned out saying “kuha na lang kayo doon” w/o sincerity just plain rudeness. What a way to end the week!

Buffet shabu shabu where you have to pay extra for every spice of premium beef. I love this shabu shabu place. Its been a staple of my life since they opened the original branch in q. Ave. Food is tasty as hell, and the selection is very plentiful. My main gripe though, is for the premium meat. Since when does a buffet require you to pay by the plate? Really annoying as this is thus far the only restaurant i know that does that.

The meat and veggies were decent. They're what you'd expect from a buffet at this certain price range.Downsides were the juices being watered down and their ice cream only having 4 tubs of different flavours which they didn't replace/refill after it ran out.
