After hearing about it so many times, I decided to give the popular Singaporean snack, the kaya toast, a try. Kaya is actually a special coconut jam, served on toasted bread. I ordered a set that includes cream cheese, soft-boiled eggs with soy sauce and white pepper for dipping and freshly brewed coffee. Now, I can understand the hype. I liked the mix of flavors - sweetness from the kaya and saltiness from the eggs - and the combination of textures.

Had this Fish Ball noodle soup this lunch. I don't know why it tasted bland for me. I remembered my friend recommending this dish at Toast box. But meh. But maybe will be back to try their other dishes.

So far they make the best kaya toast and teh. Love also their Laksa and Misiam. If their soft boiled eggs are under cooked or well done, their willing to replace it

The ambience is great. The service was fast.We ordered the Laksa, Hainanese chicken, and Barley drink. My favorite among the 3 was the hainanese chicken. It tasted like what it was supposed to be but I was disappointed that the chicken was a little tough than what I was used to. Overcooked? The condiments that come with the chicken were limited, too. I loved the vegetable broth that came with the chicken. It didn't taste artificial and I hope it wasn't! Haha. - 4/5 for this dishI am so used to prepacked laksa that tastes great. When it comes to laksa made from scratch, I don't think I have much of an opinion. Haha. This one had a "seafood-y" taste to the soup (prepackaged is "coconut-y"). There were large pieces of shrimp. The noodles were alright. Overall, a 4.5/5 for my liking because I'm allergic to seafood. Hahaha. The barley drink was something new for me. It was like a healthier version of boba tea. I'd recommend this! - 5/5!

Curry is fast becoming my go-to comfort food of recent. And when i want curry, one of the first places i think of is Toast Box. Its Singaporean-style chicken curry with its coconut milk-laden gravy and generous serving is enough to soothe and calm the most tumultuous of spirits. Served hot, the thick, slightly spicy broth is a balm against cold weather and misery. Bite into the moist and tender chicken flesh, followed by a spoonful of soft, fragrant rice, and be transported to a place akin to nirvana. Wash this all down with a refreshing glass of fresh squeeezed lemonade.

Been craving for Seafood laksa and kway teow, these two were my favorite when I lived in Singapore, never a week that I have not eaten these two. Good thing toast box here serves good laksa and kway teow. I'll definitely come back for more.

Toast box is a place where you get to eat the traditional Kaya toast. Not much of a fan of it though...its a bit pricey for me. And Im not a fan of coco jam. Id rather buy from breadtalk which is actually connected or part of this place. But I do love the coffee here. Its strong and it has that distinct flavor which is different from the mainstream coffee shops we are used too. Probably because they use condensed milk to sweeten their coffee. If you are looking for brews the likes of cappucino and lattes then this place isnt foe you.You should also try their laksa. Its perfect for rainy weather. I really enjoyed eating this one and the serving is generous too.

Toast Box is my personal favorite Singaporean restaurant. They do not boast a varied menu, but they absolutely do not hold back with the taste and servings of the dishes that they offer. For today's order, we decided to go with the Laksa, the Hainanese Chicken, and soft boiled eggs on the side. There's something about soft-boiled eggs that gives me an instant feeling of happiness. It's not easy to make, but Toast Box does justice to this wonderful creation. Crack the egg open a little, pour in some sweet Singaporean soy sauce with a dash of pepper - voila! Slurp that yummy stuff like balut.Their Hainanese Chicken was deceptively filling. Being steamed chicken, the taste is subtle and clean - it's up to the diner to liven up the meal with their combination of oyster sauce, chili sauce, and shredded ginger. Add their savoury rice and broth into the set and you've got yourself a happy tummy!I have never tried laksa, so I was quite nervous when I saw the red coloring. I'm not a fan of spicy food and I expected noodles that are as spicy as Shin Ramyun. I was completely mistaken and I think I've fallen in love. The coconut milk blended perfectly with the touch of spice. The texture of the noodles worked in wonderful contrast with the crunchy bean sprouts and firm prawns.Be warned, however. The experience is a tad inconsistent - their laksa and nasi goreng in particular. Some days, they're good enough to knock you out with the flavor. Other days, the flavors are out of whack. But at least their kaya toast set is constantly a source of culinary joy. You can never go wrong with that choice when looking for a lovely afternoon snack that won't spoil your appetite for dinner and won't make your wallet cry.

They say that their Teh C tastes like the ones sold in the streets of Malaysia and Singapore. It is a perfect blend of tea and the milk best paired with any kaya toast, it will make your snack time enjoyable. They offer toast box sets which are actually affordable.

Yuan yang is always good here. ☕️ I'm not much a fan of their kopi but it's okay. 👍🏻 What's also good about his branch is that their co-located with Bread Talk which provides more food choices than usual. Interior, of course, is consistently nice.
