One of Taiwan's known tea shops has finally arrived in Manila. Started in 1953, TenRen's Tea Shop has more than 76 stores in Taiwan and 18 shops in Hong Kong. They sell various tea products inside the store, as well as tea makers, tea sets and snacks. There were so many things to choose from in the store. Tried the following:-Green Tea Matchi (Motchi). Soft and bite size, I think I prefer this served cold. -Green Tea Wasabi Peanuts. I thought this was your usual green tea-flavored cracker nuts. I forgot that there was wasabi--one bite and it got me surprised for its spicy effect. Good thing that the spiciness of wasabi does not stay in your mouth. There's some thrill in eating this. Also recommended for wasabi lovers. -Pineapple Cake. Soft pineapple flavored cakes, they are like moon cakes in texture.  -913 Oolong Tea. China's No. 1 ginseng tea, this tea is served cold and can be ordered with fresh milk. Tastes good and has a foamy texture.  -Honey Green Tea. The base is jasmine green tea. Tastes good, less foamy than the 913 Oolong. I like how it's sweet but the honey did not overpower the jasmine. Just right. Gives a soothing and relaxing feel.  -Black Tea Latte with Pearls. The pearls were soaked in honey to absorb which are also chewy. It uses fresh milk to make it foamy. Has a sweet, latte taste. -Coffee Black Milk Tea. Half coffee, half black milk tea. One of my fave picks because I love coffee. -Kiwi Green Tea. Freshly squeezed kiwi mixed with green tea.You can even see the kiwi seeds. Thirst quencher. Very refreshing. -Green Tea Mango Slush. Really good! Overflowing with mangoes. Not to mention that I love ripe mangoes so much.-Taro Green Tea Latte. They use fresh taro in this drink. Refreshing. TenRen's Tea serves their drinks in a single-sized 450 mL cup. I was finally able visit tenren! This plce is in the open air area on the second floor of promenade mall. Big tea place that not only serves tea drinks but they also carry a wide selection of tea leaves.I had the green tea latte with pearls. Its basically fits your usual idea of what milk tea is; only this one was made with steeped green tea and fresh milk )instead of the usual black tea and milk powder). Less caffeine they say. The drink was surprisingly refreshing and light. Price of drinks range from 90 to 150php. A little steep, but totally justified because of the high quality ingredients they use.Place is vibrant, clean, and staff offers great service. I was happy that they knew their tea selection very well, and were able to help me choose the best tea leaves for me to buy. They also have free taste for some of the teas they carry - just ask.Overall a wonderful visit. Cant wait to go back!

New restaurants, cafés or whathaveyou attract me like fly to light. I just have to go nearer… and nearer… and… *bite/slurp* Well, okay, I have to order first and pay before I devour whatever I chose. Anyway, the point is, I simply could not resist new places especially if these places offer food or drinks. I am actually practicing intense self control not to go to S Maison to try the new restaurants there as I wanted to go with the awesome looloo group. So to distract myself, I headed to Greenhills and went to the new tea shop TenRen’s Tea. Hello, TenRen’s Tea!I got lost finding this place. I saw the wrong and incomplete addresses in my food apps so it took me a while to get here. (By the way, it is on the second floor of the Promenade Mall, quite near Gourdo’s and on top of Starbucks.) The shop was empty at 3:30 p.m. and the server near the door gave me a free sample of their bestseller 913 King’s Oolong Milk Tea (PHP100). I liked it so I went with that one but with 50% sugar level and with pearls (additional PHP10) as I wanted to chew on something.

Finally ive tried this tea house, ive live in taiwan for several years but i haven't notice this tea shop in taiwan. Anyway i ordered oolong tea with kiwi fruit. Want to order black tea with pearl and taro with pearl but they told me to wait for 30min so we didnt wait for it. They should have notice it specially its a friday. Maybe i could given a higher rating if we have ordered what we want to try.

The only tea brand in Manila that wins over CoCo Milk Teaq for me. I've always been missing the greatness of our milk tea in Taiwan. TenRen just gave me that real milk tea taste. SO love it. Rated it 3/5 because of poor service. Cashier seemed not interested to serve their tea. Also, they always run out of Pearl whenever I visit. So sad have to spend extra +2- for grass jelly.
