Quite good and so reasonable. Loved their leg of lamb dish. Service was efficient too. Will definitely be back. Not much parking but there was someone to assist.

Had my after workout dinner in Sultan and since I had a big appetite, we ordered Sizzling Lamb and Beef Kebab. The Beef Kebab was wonderful. Looks can really be deceiving with this one. The beef looked really tough to chew but it was actually tender. Every bite of the kebab was something to savor. All I can say is that their kebab is really different from the known kebab restos. The sizzling lamb was also good with the special gravy sauce. I could've given the restaurant a perfect 5 if not for the thick fat on the bone that came with the Lamb. It wasn't as pleasant in your mouth as it took some effort to chew. I'll probably go back when I crave for some kebab :)

I've been a fan of Sultan's Makati branch and learning of this one (which is just a few hops away from my home) is like an answered prayer to me. I ordered Chicken Tandoori for take out tonight. I appreciate the generous amount of Biryani rice given to me. However, the chicken was a bit tasteless - perhaps, cooking them in cubes rather than in huge chunks will add more flavor. A party of spices in one's mouth is what makes Sultan authentic (at least for me), so I hope this gets corrected. Service is great - I love how accommodating the waitresses are. I will definitely come back soon. 😊

Its nice to take a break from the usual dining palate and go on a diffrent route from time to time. All I know from Mediterrenean cuisine are kebabs and shawarmas. The Sizzling Lamb tasted so good that added together with the garlic mayo and hot sauce led me to devour 2.5 cups of rice. Drench your rice altogether with the sauce 😍Love your Basil-flavored homemade ice cream. Can't wait to try their other homemade flavors. Better skip the Greek Yogurt since you can buy this easily in major supermarkets 😜Chicken Korma P230Ox Tongue P240Sizzling Lamb P350Basil Ice Cream P65Greek Yogurt with Honey Oats P120

Shawarma has become a popular dish in the Philippines these days. However, the owners of Sultan Mediterranean Grill in Greenhills, San Juan, have taken the Turkish authenticity further. They serve the dishes with the flair of spices, dressings, and flavors that will surely make one wonder if their chefs are really Turkish. The restaurant first operated in Valero, Makati then started to expand to San Juan. It has been open for less than a year in the latter. Their new place was well decorated with Mediterranean memorabilia and art. Also, the place was well-lit and clean.            As for the food, I can say that it gave so much in the flavor department that it left me coming back for more. Since I love lamb dishes due to its smoky and stocky flavor and its tender meat, I felt right at home with the food. We started off with the hummus varieties served with pita bread. These were actually composed of ground lentils made into a paste with a drizzle of olive oil. Some varities tasted spicy while others were a bit salty. At 110 pesos, these came with their freshly baked pita bread. I love this appetizer for its unique smell and salty taste. This was followed with a salad. At 250 pesos, the Vitamin Boost salad consisted of lettuce, cucumber, mangoes, onions, oranges, walnuts and topped with grilled chicken. This healthy concoction was also sufficient to whet my appetite for the things to come.          The viands were even more amazing. The wide selection of beef, chicken, and lamb dishes were appetizing and meaty, not to mention flavorful. We started of with the Moussaka. At Php 220, this reasonably priced Mediterranean style lasagna was an explosion of cheesy flavors with accompanying ground beef, spices, and the obligatory pita bread. After this came the rice variants. The Keshmishi and Biryani variants made my day. At less than 100 pesos per platter, both were flavorful due to the spices, onions, and meat toppings. Not to mention the curry powder that these dishes were cooked in. The Ox Tongue was our meat starter. At Php 240, this saucy dish was composed of braised ox tongue cooked in spices and their special mushroom sauce with a few vegetables. The fatty texture of the meat was tempered with the sweet, tangy taste of the sauce. Kudos to whoever thought of that mix! We then moved on to the Sizzling Lamb. At 350 pesos, this hot, sizzling plate of grilled goodness was served with their special curry sauce and doused in spices. Perfect for someone like me who wanted to experience meat in all the goodness of chili and pepper. This meat festival didn't end here. We had the kebab platter. At Php 580 pesos, this grilled mass of meat was composed of their beef, chicken and lamb varieties grilled to perfection. I had a lot of thie grilled goodness. It was tender and juicy too. Add to that the fact that the meat was moist and flavorful. The coup de grace was the Braised Lamb Shank. At Php 580, this delectable dish was served with a ton of biryani rice. For those who eat a lot of meat, this one is for them. This huge chunk of lamb leg was grilled to perfection and doused in their special gravy. The meat had lots of tender juicy fat and lean meat as well. It was so soft and tasty that I considered going back for another plate. Lastly, the drinks and dessert were also memorable. Their mixed berry shake contained the right amount of sweetness and milky flavor while their ice cream, flavored with either basil, nuts, or salted caramel made the end of the meal very very satisfying. It wasn't too sweet on the mouth too. These dishes make me consider going back for more!

Coming here was a new experience. I've always loved Mediterranean cuisine with all its flavors and spices. Sultan is hidden in the residential areas of San Juan which was a surprise because knowing that it was located in Wilson, I thought it would be along the lines of restaurants, but it's situated in a quiet and quaint place. For those planning to come here for dinner, make sure you were able to set a reservation as it's apparently usually full during dinners. I ordered their biryani rice with lamb, got to try their beef as well, and for dessert, their greek yogurt. The portioning of the biryani rice with the lamb or its chosen variant is actually not that great. There are only a few pieces of lamb, but the rice was delicious and fragrant. My friend ordered their special meal that lets you choose two types of meat but the rice of that was normal or tasteless according to him. The greek yogurt was interesting. Admittedly not for everyone. The sourness of the yogurt gives an interesting flavor paired with honey. I'm not sure what to think of it. If you're relatively adventurous, go for it, but if not, then might as well stay on the safe side with ice cream. My main complaint is that the prices don't really compensate for the size of the serving, but nonetheless, it's worth trying. Might come back.------------Came back. Previously rated a 4.0, changed my rating. Got to try their other food and they have good good food. We went during the afternoon, not much people so it was perfect. We ordered the following:Lamb Rack - very fragrant and tasty, juicy also.Lamb Shank - it was extremely tender. We didn't even need a knife to pull it apart.Lamb Korma - this was my personal order. The lamb was bouncy and tender, really loved this. The potatoes didn't get much taste though.Kofta Balls - not bad, a bit dry.Kebab Platter (Beef, Lamb, Seafood) - the beef was tough but the lamb was quite soft and fragrant. The seafood, they offered cuttlefish and shrimp, I only tried the shrimp (Don't like cuttlefish haha) and it was very bouncy.Wild Mushroom Soup - one of the best mushroom soups I've ever tasted. It's creamy and well seasoned. Order this!3 Dip - we got the three dip appetizer with the pita. The dips had hummus, baba ghanouj and muhammara. Personally loved the muhammara, mild spice. Samosa - good, not bad.Souvlaki Kebab - still quite tough but not too much. Worth a try.Complaint is that it's quite expensive but then you can't really find lamb anywhere haha. I wouldn't suggest ordering seafood on a Sunday since by this time, it's not as fresh anymore.

The ambiance perfect! The food? Love the creamy seafood soup! We got the beef and chicken kebab and it was good although the beef was a little tough. Chicken was oh so tender! The beef kobideh was just so- so for me. Best part was their flavored yogurt shakes. Try their strawberry and banana!

Falafel was good and it ws a nice start to our late lunch. I love lamb so i got the lamb koobideh and lamb kebab platter. When it arrived the serving was very generous. The very few times the menu photo looks smaller than the actual dish! However, sadly, the rice was just plain rice. Not the long grain that is usually served in persian restos. When we asked, waitress told us we could have upgraded for php50. We weren't informed and sadly we missed the chance. The lamb meat was tender but we noticed a loack of the grill smell that is common with barbecued meats. After some inquiry, the grill they use isn't really a griller but a pan griller like that used for hamburgers. I feel sad for the awesome lamb meat being cooked this way. Sadly, sultan did not live up to my expectations of a persian resto. The grill smell is really quite important and adds that crisp to the outer part of the meat. The place looks good at least and parking is available.

I really enjoyed dining here on a Tuesday night!- BEST BEEF KEBAB I'VE EVER HAD.- It was cooked the way I like it (medium rare) so the meat was very tender. The meat itself was of good quality so I was delighted since 10/10 beef kebab in the Philippines is so rare.- Food price is cheap. Most dishes with rice are priced at P200.- Serving is plenty! It's good for 2 or good for one with a MIGHTY appetite hehe- Beer is cheap, too! 50/bottle or 295 for a bucket of 6. What a score. It goes well with your meal!- They serve fruit shakes AND fruit yogurt shakes for those who are more "health conscious." I personally like their fruit shakes better since their yogurt shakes tasted like 70% yogurt and only 30% fruit which was disappointing :-(- The restaurant itself is so neatly kept. It's clean. It has a cool, minimalist design. Lighting is great as the place is bright! I like the lights and the walls.- The staff are attentive, accommodating, and friendly!- Parking can be tricky. [EDITED]: I've also tried their lamb kebab and beef shawarma rice!- Their lamb kebab was even better than the beef one! MELT IN YOUR MOUTH GOODNESS.- Their beef shawarma rice was good but not perfect. I feel like they would have done better if they added more onions and tomato. Garlic sauce was delicious though!
