It was actually my ex who recommended this place to me. At the time we were together, I had always wanted to go here and try Mien San. But it had never happened. So after we broke up (in March of 2017), I made it a bucket list to visit every restaurant he had recommended. Not for anything, but to show perhaps that I can take myself there even without him. So enough of my love life because it wasn’t really something I wanted to share with everyone on website. Mien san has two branches, both in San Juan. I eas so glad they had opened a place in Greenhills. This is more convenient to visit rather than their original branch in Granada. I love their noodles. Not sure if they are hand pulled, but they had this chewy taste that’s uniquely theirs. The soup’s broth was comforting during the rainy days. I also loved their complimentary black tea and the okra slices dipped in sweet soy sauce (not quite sure what it is, but I love it). It perfectly compliments whatever food you order. I’ve had spicy beef tendon noodles. The minute I had a spoonful of it, I fell in love with it. I wish I live nearby so that I can order and try all the other noodle dish I had been wanting to try. The service was alao efficient. Kudos to the staff! Ihad to wait for about 8 minutes and the soup was served piping hot on my table. Staff was also helpful when I asked for recommendations. Overall, I see myself coming back here again.

4.0 Food: was great actually, we ordered spicy beef noodles, spicy lomi with both having firm noodles & right flavor, fish ball soup, and with kuchay dumplings that were scrumptious .. The complementary pickled okra was also a plus.2.0 Staff/Service: This is where they are lacking.. the service was too slow. It took about 25mins for the fish BALL SOUP to arrive. Staff were also scarce. We gave to call staff several times to get refill of hot tea and getting the bill despite having 2 set of customers around.

Actual rating: 3.4I got the beef, tendon, and goto noodle. Well, serving was actually generous, except for the portion on the goto.I’d say that the soup was flavorful in a way that it embodies the beefy broth, however I just can’t seem to be fully satisfied with it in comparison with the noodle dishes of Ling Nam.In any case, this has been there for quite some time. Perhaps, I’ll give their other dishes a try.

Ever since I tried the Spicy Wantons, I just had to go back and have them again. I ordered that together with the Spicy Beef Noodles which I’ve read is one of their bestsellers. I’m not surprised that it is; it’s one of the best beef noodle soups that I’ve had. The soup was so flavorful and it had just the right amount of heat to cut through the richness of the tendons and the beef. And of course, the Spicy Wantons were delicious as usual. I don’t know what they put in that sauce but I can’t get enough of it. I’ll definitely be back for these 2 dishes.I’ve also been to their other branch and there, I had the Leek Chicken and Fried Rice. Both were delicious as well and the spicy sauce goes really well with Leek Chicken.

Their best item may be their spicy dumplings, which have an excellent sauce, albeit their dumplings are a tad small. Their noodles are okay, but aren't really anything too special. This is a decent place to go to, but it won't really knock your socks off or anything

They serve one of the best onion pancakes I've tried in the metro. Their spicy beef noodles is also a must if you're into spicy food (they give you an option whether you want it mild, medium, or very spicy). However, the place is a little small and parking can be tough especially on weekends so better be early because the place gets full quickly.

I love Beef Tendon, that's why when I got the chance to go to Greenhills, I made it sure that I'll be able to try out their Beef and Tendon Noodles. Upon entering the place, I immediately noticed how nice the ambiance was. It wasn't crowded, the seats are adequately spaced, there's good lighting over the area, and airconditioning works well. The food attendants were efficient. I noticed how they're enjoying their work, they all wear a good smile, and how they are close to the manager(or maybe she's the owner).I ordered The Beef, Tendon, and Goto Noodle, and Spicy Dumplings. The serving of the Noodles is huge, which is just right for my big appetite. The tendon is soft, while the beef is like it melted in my mouth, I'm not sure if it's the brisket part, but the marbling of fat in the meat is so perfect (forget about the Goto). The Spicy Dumpling taste amazing, I mean the sauce that came with it is sweet at first then followed by the hot blast of chili, it's something to crave for, I just wish it came on a big serving, cause seriously, a little kid can finish that little serving in a few minutes.Overall, their menu is quite pricey, although it taste good, I hope the serving of the dumplings could be bigger. The service was good, although they served me house tea, and forgot to give me water. The place is very clean, and the ambiance suits well for a gooddining experience.
