This noodle house from yesteryears thrive on sentimental value. There are better ones, way better ones, but people continue to patronize this old school place, perhaps to reminisce or simply because of curiosity. The soup is bland if you will have it without their special sauce. Siomai tastes like the bolabola siopao filling. Their siopao is ordinary.  Ample parking space available.

My grandfather introduced me to Masuki (Makong) in Binondo when I was a kid and now passing it on to my kids. Eating their mami brings back good memories. Those people who says their soup is bland definitely don't know how to eat and appreciate good food and yet they call themselves "food critics" or "food bloggers". The sauce is the secret to the wonderful taste of mami. The texture and firmness of the noodles is correct and that's how it should be. Some people like it soft and soggy like some floor mops. You only ordered the original mami, jumbo siopai and siomai.  The magic is the sauce.  You use it on every dish and it is heaven.  If somebody ordered other dishes than this three, you will definitely knows that they have never been to this place and will never appreciate the proper technique of eating in Masuki.

I don't have to travel to their main branch in Binondo to have my noodle fix.  Comfort food.  Consistent in taste.  The secret is in the sauce.  You add it yourselves according to your taste and likings.

Authentic mami house. Eating here gives you the vibe of eating in those small Binondo restaurants. Their asado siopao is a must try especially with their sauce. If you're a siomai lover, Masuki's will definitely satisfy you because of its huge size and flavor. It's sold at P35 each. Their noodles...is okay. It could've been better especially because the texture of the noodles is a little dry and clumpy, but the taste is good especially their Wanton and Asado. The only downside in this branch is that their place is a little stinky like how old places usually smell like, and parking is limited.

My girlfriend introduced me to this restaurant. The place really gives you that Chinese vibe 'cause of the smell of the noodles, which is not really that great, but the mami makes up for it, plus, the food is sold at reasonable prices.

their mami soup really stinks but it is sooooo delicious! it feels like that soup has been literally boiling and developing these ham like flavors forever (like maybe decades hehe)! When you eat there you need to go home and change clothes because the smell of the soup sticks to you. Believe me, its worth the change of clothes.

Quick serving and taste adjustable noodle selection, this place is perfect for those "quick eat moments".Any of their noodle bowls are okay and dont forget to order siomai and mix it with hot sauce and soy sauce.

Ordered Original Mami, Chicken Mami and Siomai. I dont have much to say aside from Masuki being one of my favorites. Love mixing their special sauce with the mami, and even dipping the siomai in it.

Masuki is another old Chinese restaurant in the metro. From what I've heard, it is from the Ma Mon Luk family that brought in simple chicken noodle soup back centuries ago. It is the typical Chinese noodles shops that serves in dimsum, siopao, and noodles.Original mami was consists of chicken and beef toppings. The noodles and the soup was abit bland. You need to mix in some asado sauce to season it. The meats in this bowl is not the braised that brings in the flavor. It's just a simple, hearty, no fuss bowl of comfort food.Special Siopao was nice and packed. The filling was shredded 'pulled' pork and salted egg. It was sweet and savory. It was just overflowing with filling and it doesn't have large chunks of pork fat in it. Siomai was the usual old Chinese siomai, large, sweet (because of the raddish), and lean. Perfect with calamansi, chili, and soy.The place just brings you to the old Manila, where people was living the simple life. #TheFoodCrawlers #OngsFoodprintsIG: @alvinongggFB: The Lost Diego
