This is easily the best xia long bao restt in Manila. I've eaten here several times and each time the restt has come out in blazing colours. Their siomai is excellent too. If you aren't in the mood for Dimsum , choose from an extensive Menu which offers authentic tofu, awesome chicken and quite nice pork as well. Two other items on the menu that are worth a mention, the Taiwanese pearl drinks/tea are excellent and the dessert menu is really surprising. All portions are family size and they have some innovative flavors

I was ecstatic when I had the chance to try the 688 order all you can buffet at Lugang Cafe. We were limited to just 2 main course dishes so we chose Hainan Chicken and Spicy Beef Tendon soup. I also ordered different types of Xiao Long Pao especially with vegetables, pork and shrimp inside them. They were all good. I really miss this type of dimsum because it really made my world go round the last time I tasted it. I have to admit their house iced tea got my attention and I had a lot of it even though I was not really planning on doing that. I also ordered some tofu with egg but I was not able to finish that. We can't wait to come back here soon since the buffet ends at the end of the month.

You will never go wrong with this restaurant. Pricey compared to other chinese resto but worth the experience.

Lugang Cafe is one of the best restaurants that offer Chinese dishes in Metro Manila in a nice and comfortable setting. Their Greenhills branch boasts a nice interior and the spaces between tables are wide enough to give privacy to the diners. I also love that they have variety of xiao long bao. We have tried their steamed pork xiao long bao and it was really good. The wrapping was thin and it was well stuffed with pork. One minor issue was that it was not served warm enough. We have also ordered Taiwanese salt and pepper squid. Its taste was very pleasing and the coating was not thick. Another interesting dish that we had was oyster with black bean sauce. This dish has a combination of spicy and salty taste. Overall, I enjoyed our Lugang Cafe experience and I would like to dine in here again to try their other interesting dishes.

When my cousin graduated from university, my aunt and uncle were asking me and their family friend about good restaurants in the area. After much discussion back and forth, their final choice came to Lugang Cafe, of which I was inwardly overly happy.I helped make the reservations, which was easy enough as their website is very informative. And the people on the line were very helpful and patient with me when I made a reservation, cancelled, and then brought back my reservation. Only downfall was being told (at that time) that they were currently only accepting cash as their credit card machine was broken.Surprised to find that there's barely any people at 6 on a Saturday evening, so finding a parking spot wasn't difficult.Loved the roasted meat combination (see photo) which I think is a staple order when eating at a Chinese restaurant with family, though i don't think this is available as an order in the China branches. As usual, loved the Xiao Long Bao, though i was sharing with my cousins so I didn't get to eat that order to my heart's content. We had a variety of other dishes but since it was my aunt and uncle who ordered, i wasn't sure about the names of the other dishes we had.Service-wise, good to very good. Sometimes it's easy to call the attention of the servers, and sometimes it isn't, which is to be expected as there's a lot of customers and the ground floor is pretty big. I kept asking for water refills and was happy to find that i didn't always have to raise my hand to ask. The server attending to us was very nice and efficient. Expect to wait when calling the attentions of the servers though.Bathrooms here are clean so that's a plus of course! Though there are only 2 stalls (in the women's) so expect to have to wait a bit.P.S. Would loooooove to have a conversation with some of the Mandarin-speaking chefs next time. :)
