The advent of Korean series has converted most Filipinos into Koreanophiles. From the music, the clothing, the music, and even the language, there is no denying that we are very much obsessed with everything Korean. Because of this obsession, Korean restaurants and food have also begun creeping into the Philippine market. One such establishment is Kyochon, an established Korean fried chicken restaurant. When I first heard of Kyochon, the similarity with Bonchon immediately caught my attention. However, Kyochon seems to be promising. With numerous branches already in the metro, this Korean brand is indeed making its way into the Filipino hearts. One of the restaurant's branches can be found in Greenhills where my friends and I got the chance to indulge in their food last February 4. So here's my review.Food. 4.5/5The brand focuses mostly on chicken so what better way to try Kyochon than to order the signature, Korean fried chicken. Koreans are reputed for having their food very spicy so we decided to have the Red Series. We were warned by the waitress that by spicy they really mean spicy but we were adamant. Quite undaunted by our spicy food, we ordered the Kimchi Rice. We also had some helpings of the wedges to complete our menu. The food takes 20 minutes to prepare because, according to them, it is how long a chicken should be cooked for it to have that succulent taste. True to their promise, 20 minutes later, the food was served to us. The spicy chicken didn’t disappoint. IT IS REALLY SPICY! I’ve never tasted anything as spicy  while beads of sweat started forming on my scalp. Whew. Steam was literally coming out of my ears. The Kimchi Rice was as spicy as the chicken. The only thing I found disappointing were the proportions of the chicken, they were quite small. Nonetheless, we still enjoyed our meal. Ambiance. 4.5/5Modernistic just like any other hop in town, the place lacked a bit of Korean touch (aside from the posters and all). However, the place looked orderly and clean. I salute the crew for doing a fine job keeping the place clean. Manager/Crew. 5/5The crew and the manager were a true testament to the Filipino spirit of hospitality. They tried their best to attend to our every demand and request. They were all approachable, accommodating and amiable, always prepared to greet you with their warm smiles. While my friends and I were feasting on our food, the manager, Miko, I think his name was, approached us to check on how we are doing. He’s quite sociable and easy to get along with. I commend him and his crew a great job running the place.Price. 3.5/5Again with the price. Boy oh boy. Nothing comes cheap these days so I have to weigh whether I was able to get my money’s value. The price is a bit steep but overall I think we were able to get our money’s value. What is important is that my friends and I had a great time.Till the next website adventure ;)

Was wandering in Greenhills during the soft launch of Kyochon. We heard that this is a famous chicken joint in Asian countries. Tried their soy based chicken wings and it tastes like Bonchon. I can actually say that Bonchon tastes better. The size of their chicken wings are also small so I didn't really enjoy it plus it's quite expensive!

From the far menu seemed very tempting. I left the place very dissapoonted. Waiting time is around 15-20 min and at the end u get very small portion, plain plates without garnish. I ve tried soy garlic chicken - nothing special,i didnt even feel the garlic, NO SIGNATURE TASTE just regular fried chicken. Plus they have service charge, so you bassicaly pay for staff to greet u in Korean cause apart from that u dont get any special attention while waiting 20mins for your order. I won't eat there again

Tried other branch of kyonchon. Waiter and waitress are not well trained. Doesnt know how to handle customer complains. When the resto has no guest most of the personell are using their phone. Some of them keep on talking with each other as if they are lovers. Not a good sight for a korean resto. Portion size is not ok also. Waiting time is also long.

I have a major complaint about your Greenhills mall branch. They told me that they didn't want to take my order anymore even though the branch closes at 11:00 PMIT WAS 10:10 PM? Why are  YOU PRE-CLOSING ALMOST AN HOUR EARLY? If you're going to refuse service to customers THAT early  MIGHT AS WELL STATE THAT YOUR CLOSING TIME IS AT 10 PM. Such ridiculous service. Don't go to this branch.  I visited this branch on December 14, 2016.
