Hotpot cuisine is a relatively new experience for me, and I find it enjoyable to do with friends. In its location, with more parking than other restos in the area, Huat Pot will do well with groups who like a mix of things to cook as well as a selection of ready to eat Taiwanese specialties in the lineup; I recommend the salted fish flavored pork stew: good stuff. Then look out for the seafood - from meaty prawns to white fish to salmon head; and the pre sliced beef and lamb sitting in well-lit chillers. There are five broths to choose from, including laksa. Some find it light, or too light, but it's a cooking liquid, and there's a mix-your-own seasoning dip counter which is also half the fun. What I liked most were the original selections of surimi. One was called the Joyful Bag, while another had warm, melted cheese (let cool, bite into with care!). The lamb and beef were also tasty and will need dip to be fully enjoyed. There's beer, coffee, and dessert, including 'unlimited' Magnum ice cream, rounding out the offering and giving one maximum bang for the buck. Food and drinks will come to P688+, which is a very good deal.It is a big venue that welcomes families and after eating well it feels like a nice place to hang out.Thank you to website and to Huat Pot for the experience.

I'm very fond of buffets. Any restaurant as long as it's an eat all you can place it's worth a try. Huat Pot located at the heart of addition hills is a unique tawainese cuisine. Some hotpot has a fixed menu but in here it's all unlimited. You get to choose 2 from 5 kinds of soup. Original, sate, chicken, vegetable and laksa. From Assorted balls to different seafood dishes, meats like lamb, pork, cooked meals, fresh veggies and a variety of noodles, different desserts from taho to halo halo to ice creams, namely Magnum, and Yes Unlimited Magnum. They also have a variety of beverages both hot and cold. My favorite cooked dish would be the braised pork with salted fish because it was my first time to taste that and it was good. Assorted balls that has to be tried several times would be the cheese balls, its like your eating the cheese from a pizza that would burst in your mouth, the lobster balls and the joyful bag balls. The seafood bar is also a must try their shrimp, crabs, mussels and the meat freezer that includes Pork, beef, lamb. But make sure you always have room for dessert, who would want to miss out the opportunity of unlimited Magnum. So far based on what I have experienced, the location was the only thing that bothered me maybe because it was my first time in that area but overall the food was great, so as the ambiance, the staffs were accommodating and fast in their service and Chef Jonas Ng made us feel welcome in his restaurant, there was never a dull moment.Since this was my first website Meet Up I would say that It was a great experience and I'm looking forward to attending more website Meet Ups. Thanks again to Ma'am Elaine Taningco and Chef Jonas Ng for a warm welcome.

Such a simple concept; Throw everything into a hot pot, and eat to your heart's content. I think of hotpot as the Taiwanese version of comfort food so it's perfect after a long day.Like fondue, hot pot is one of the most social of dining formats. Not only are you gathered at one table sharing a meal, but you're cooking your food together in a shared pot. What makes one different from another is the broth and the specific meats used. Even in a list of top hot pots, Huat Pot stands out for its great quality and price point. The list of food that can be cooked in a hot pot at Huat Pot is a long one. Variety is key, since you want to have a little bit of everything. Dumplings, paper-thin slices of meats, and seafood are some of the most popular items to cook in a hot pot, but you'll need to balance those more filling items with light ones like greens and other vegetables. They balance out the heavier offerings and add flavor to the broth. You can add almost any vegetable to a hot pot, but I prefer ones that retain a little bit of texture even after cooking in the broth.Meat and seafood may be the centerpieces of a hot pot meal, but the feast isn't complete without the 'BALLS'. Speaking of balls, Huat Pot has A LOT, but my top 3 favorites were the Cheese Balls (Must-try!), Mushroom Balls, and Cod with Basil. Oh, and you must get the Shrimp Dumplings! It's generously filled with minced shrimps and scallions and cooked to just the right level of tender chewiness. So, so good! I will happily seek these out again. The soup bases here are generally full of flavor, the ingredients are fresh in quality, and things are not too salty in my experience, without sacrificing taste. In addition, you can also get something here that is hard to do well - SATAY SAUCE./SATAY BROTHLook, I know I don't need to educate you on satay because you probably dip your skewered meats in it. But seriously, not having satay at a hot pot joint is like watching Magic Mike without seeing the guys' shirts come off. LOL. I'm sure you get what I mean. Huat Pot's Satay broth is dark and earthy, enhanced with different spices. I also recommend the Laksa broth. It's creamy, flavorful, but not heavy. It tasted like the Laksa Noodle Soup off the streets of Singapore. It's pungent flavor is definitely an acquired taste for the uninitiated so if that doesn’t seem like your cup of tea, two(?) other flavors are available. Before you start feasting on your hot pot feast, you can't forget about the dipping sauces. Just like the broth, Huat Pot has a lot of options. To keep it simple, I like to make a quick one by combining soy sauce with a drizzle of sesame oil and a touch of chili. You can also add chopped cilantro and/or scallions. The hot pots here are kept nice and hot over the fire at your table. I love hot soup that stays constantly hot all throughout. I've also tried their non-hot pot items (cooked dishes) as well, like their vegetable egg rolls(?) and the braised pork (I forgot the actual name, so forgive me). Their egg rolls are crispy and it has a strong garlic taste but its not that bad if you eat it with hot sauce. The braised pork was out of this world! The meat was so tender it almost falls apart. With regard to the desserts, there were very few choices but they do offer unlimited Selecta Ice Cream bars, including Magnum (Ice Cream). I hope they will consider serving Milk Teas too (with boba)! That would be a great addition to their unlimited beverages. The service is relatively attentive, depending on how busy the restaurant is. I appreciate that the manager, Sandee, actually comes by more than once to ask how we're doing... like legitimately, 'How are you doing?' 'How was the food?' 'Is everything okay?' and really mean it from her heart because she really values your business. The owner, Chef Jonas Ng was pacing back and forth making sure everyone's doing fine. I mean, look at the other reviews, Chef Jonas takes time out to follow up on almost everyone's reviews whether positive or negative. Nothing makes a customer feel valued and important than when you acknowledge their feedback and recommendations. Overall, the Hot Pot buffet at Huat Pot is definitely worth the price. I wish there was something that even came close to this in the Katipunan area. I can't wait to come back. Many thanks to website, Chef Jonas Ng, and the staff of Huat Pot for such a wonderful afternoon.***Food and beverages are complimentary.
