Came here on a Saturday afternoon for a birthday celebration. We were the only customers during that time and so we were really taken good care of by the staff. Caesar salad - nothing special just the ordinary caesar salad.Soup - i forgot this type of soup but it was goodSteak grade 8 - tender and juicy. I really like that it doesn’t need steak sauce to taste good. It’s just a simple steak with a little salt seared on a stone and it tastes great! Plus you can cook it to your preferred doneness. Keep it longer on the stone if you like it well done or take it off and put it on your plate when it’s already cooked to your preference.Iced tea - weird. Tasted like those free iced teas you get in a nail salon hehe

So-so. Expect to pay hefty price for a steak. The place gets mausok once it gets full house so beware of that. Atleast you can cook your steak to your desired doneness.

One of the reasons why I can't be a vegetarian is the seasonal cravings for quality slab of meat. Even if vegetables are a must for my diet, I can’t say goodbye to steaks. It is a form of art and beauty. And when I'm in the mood for it, The House of Wagyu Stone Grill is one of my go to places for steak. About three years ago, Filipinos started raving for Japanese Wagyu when an import ban on Japanese beef was finally lifted. This imported steak is known for its fat like texture, thanks to an unconventional process of raising their cattle. For experts, they base the quality of steaks according to its marbling and origin. Marbling is the intramuscular fat in the steak. This fat gives the meat moisture, a silky texture, and an extra layer of flavor. And since the Wagyu has the most extensive marbling, they consider it as the caviar beef in Japan. They even have “Beef Marbling Standard" with 12 as the highest rate. Ms. Corinne Castañeda and Carmelo Santiago are highly responsible why we get to have the best Japanese Wagyu around today through their restaurant. I had the chance of visiting their branch in Greenhills just recently, I’ve been to the Podium one before. This restaurant gives you a fine dining experience complete with top of the line service, very classy and well maintained ambiance and dishes filled with sophistication and taste. So let's get down to the star of the night, also known as my grade 8 Wagyu Rib Eye Steak. I got to grill it on my own and thus, I could have medium rare all the way to well done without even leaving my seat. As expected my imported meat was tender and appetizing as it is. I just added rock salt from time to time. For a complete meal to pair with your choice of Wagyu I suggest having a glass of fine wine (or two), brewed iced tea, Caesar salad, freshly made Mushroom Soup and a side of creamy mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables. If this aren’t enough to fill you up, a filling of well spiced Gambas with loads of garlic and some bruschetta is my suggestion. I had these and still managed to have a rich Cheesecake with Vanilla Ice Cream on iron plate after all that. This resulted to me almost crawling out of the establishment. I was ultimately satisfied and so was my date. It was one unforgettable late afternoon to evening. Their steaks come with a steep price though, as it ranges from Php 1,950 to Php 10,225. Thanks to their promotion that time, I got to avail their Great Wagyu Sale, at 40% off of the original price. The promo actually ran from August 15 to September 10, 2017.So who are in your top 5 steak places in the Metro? I got a list that includes this restaurant. Care to share yours?

If you order a steak, it comes with their soup of the day (cream of mushroom), bread and butter, salad, the steak itself, and blueberry cheesecake. In addition, we ordered Oyster Rockefeller.Overall impression: soup, bread, and salad are so-so. The Wagyu steaks were great (but see my tips below on how you can better maximize the experience). The cheesecake is good at first but nakakaumay (plus the berries tasted like it came from a can)Tips to maximize your experience:1. Don't go during a special occasion. But if you have to, reserve AND go early. Our reservation on Valentines Day was at 9pm. But when we arrived at 8:40, we still had to queue (ended being served at 9:45)2. If you're not a steak aficionado (aka you just want something that tastes good, and not too pricey), get the Ribeye Grade 6. Why? The Sirloin Grade 10 is cheaper but has a lot more ugat (hirap hiwain), the Tenderloin is good but I thought it was a bit too rich in taste (plus also pricier). The Ribeye, on the other hand, was just right. Plus, the Ribeye has marbling and fats - which has all the flavor yum!3. Go with the 220grams. I got the 350 grams and ang sarap ng steak the first few bites, then slowly naumay ako. Or get steak to share, instead of getting one steak per person4. If you don't like your steak well done, request for a separate plate where you can place your cooked steak pieces, as opposed to leaving it on the charcoal plate the whole night. I left mine on the charcoal plate, and by the end of night, it was cooked well done (which I dislike)

My bf and I went here to spend our anniversary and his birthday this year. We've tried the saga rib eye grade a4, rib eye grade 10, and ny striploin grade 8. And we loved them all! Service was great also the staff was attentive to your needs. I recommend the ny striploin for any newcomer that wants to try it out.

Great service, good food. We had the Tomahawk, Tenderloin, Sirloin and the Prawns. All was good, didn't have much to complain about. Waiters are well trained Benjie was our waiter during this lunch hour. Took great care of my family and I. Thanks Benjie!

One of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten here in the Philippines. It just has that unique taste which I only saw here. Only when there’s a sale from credit card companies though as it can get very pricey! Don’t bother with their vanilla ice cream tho - it tastes like chalk.

Steak night for us! Was so excited to finally be able to try out house of wagyu as it's on the top 10 list of best steaks in Manila. We all ordered the tenderloin steak grade 6 but unfortunately we were all disappointed with it. The steak wasn't juicy and no wow factor to this steak cut. I had it cooked medium rare but it looks well done. The taste wasn't in any bit fancy and I felt it's not worth it to order this. For dessert we had to flourless chocolate cake. This was even better than the steak.Overall, I was quite disappointed with our food given that I was too excited to try house of wagyu.
