I got to first try this much raved about restaurant last December 2013 with my Dgroup and I loved the experience here! Known for their family / for sharing and quality Greek and Mediterranean food, Greeka Kouzina is a go to place whenever you’re craving for Souvlaki and you go in groups. The price was reasonable for its serving size and we got to split the calories too.6I related that experience with Jason and he wanted to try it out too. So one time after visiting a client in P. Guevarra, we decided to eat in Greeka Kouzina and invited Julius over.We got there early, I think around 5pm, they open at 6 for dinner. So we waited a while outside and decided that it’s time for a photo.Click. Click. Click. Okay it’s still not 6 yet we hung out in the car and finally a little before 6, the doors opened and we were on our way to savor Greeka’s food moments. :)For appetizer, we got their Melitzanosalata (say what?) or Eggplant Dip (Php 155). It’s eggplant grilled over charcoal with tomatoes and feta cheese. YUM. I was already very much satisfied and full with this! Good for 4-5, just add more pita! We found that the dip was quite a lot for the pita bread so we ordered another pita.Next we had the Greek Caesar Salad (Php 390) served with their very own dressing which is made from 100% greek yogurt and the clincher, it’s fat free! I’m not sure though that since I had almost half of it, if the fat free still applies with its bacon bits and indulgent cheese. This is actually good for 4 but since Julius was on fasting that time, Jason and I got more (of the salad) than we could ask for.Now this! is what I’m talking about. Their Beef Souvlaki (Php 495) which is my favorite! Char-grilled skewers of meat and vegetables with your choice of siding. For me this is good for just 3. The beef was really juicy and tender and it was rich in flavor. The next time I come here, I think I will be torn if I should have this again or I should try another on their menu for a change. We had Yemistes to go with the Beef Souvlaki. It was basically stuffed pepper Greek rice with pine nuts, raisins and tomatoes. Good for 1-2. But since I am on an eternal no rice diet (except on very special situations), I just had a bite and Jason had most of my share. 2 happy people for this stuffed pepper rice. It’s always a pleasure to dine with the company of a good friend, this was the icing on an indulgent rich chocolate truffle cake (yes, that specific :p). Talking about Julius’ upcoming retreat that time, sharing our discoveries on lessons God is teaching us, and catching up on each other’s lives. The experience here was filling for both the tummy and the soul. With its filling and appetizing menu plus their huge serving size, I must say it’s indulgent, truly Greece-sent.———————————-Greeka Kouzina285 Pedro Guevarra St, San Juan, 1500 Metro Manila, Philippines+63 2 624 5974

Greeka Kouzina serves one of the closest taste to Greek cuisine. Some of our favorites are the Beef Gyro, tender slices of beef wrap in pita bread and greens serves with tzatziki sauce. The roast lamb shank is also a must try, slow cooked and forked tender and doesnt even have the gaminess of the meat. The restaurant also serves big servings of salad, the ceasar salad with calamari is highly recommended along with fig roka salata. Also don't miss out on the dessert their greek yoghurt with honey. Parking maybe a bit difficult.

Great food, great service. I'd say they have the best Greek food locally. The only issue I'd have with them is the lack of parking especially during weekends and be sure to have a reservation. I'm glad there's a branch a few steps from home now.

Being married to a Greek chef and had lived in Greece for 30 years, I have to say that Greeka Kouzina is a disgrace to Greek Food and it's Culinary History and it is a waste of money to dine there!! Having tried once is so disaapointing and claiming on their menu Greek Traditonal dishes, is cheating people! The feta which they mention "the best feta is not even feta but kesong puti! Feta is made from cow's and sheep's milk, not carabao's milk!!! We deserve to be served of what we paid!!

The roast lamb and grilled chicken are reasons enough to come back here!! Lamb is so tender and chicken was juicy. The fig arugula is good but i think we should have asked for more dressing. The lamb meatball pasta was a different kind of creamy but it was ok. The chicken wings with honey lemon dressing was good and so were the twister fries which my nephews liked. My bro and mom ordered chicken gyros..they looked big when served but disappointed that there were more vegetables than meat. Hummus dip was perfect.

Hands down, their Arni Lemonato. Lamb is so tender and soft, and the flavor bursts. Actually, you don't even need the sauce that it is served with. Good on its own.Their pasta dishes are quite unique too and very tasteful. Though not all of them were memorable to me. But still, as mentioned above, you can't go wrong with the Arni.

Greeka kouzina is definitely worth the travel. i love all the dishes compared to Cyma especially when it comes to their meat selections (5 hour roast lamb). The quality of food is surprisingly consistent with other branches. i availed my dealgrocer deal and its really a good catch. Will surely visit Greeka (any branch) really soon!

The food us ok but the service is lousy. I would understand if it were a carindetia. Very obvious that there was lack of supervision and training.

Often a healthier alternative, Greek (or Mediterranean) food is a favorite among those preferring a lighter meal. To the uninitiated, Mediterranean often conjures boring images of salad and more salad. But there's more meat to this matter.Greeka Kouzina started off as a humble, more affordable Greek joint located in the hilly areas of San Juan. This main branch still maintains its homey feel, complete with a second floor that feels like your typical lazy loft.Highs:1. Fig Arugula Salad: the salads here are anything but boring. An eclectic mix of figs, walnuts, and dried tomatoes, it was surprisingly flavorful and enjoyable. The greens were crisp and fresh. The vinaigrette was light, a joyous mix of sweet and sourness.2. Hummus and Pita: I adored the pita here, with its rather unusual texture. Unlike the more common toasted variety, the pita was more doughy and thus felt fuller. The hummus had the hint of garlic, just enough to keep you dipping throughout the meal.3. Baby back ribs: ahh yes. There's meat in this Greek. Fall of the bone tender, this huge slab was smokey and sweet. It lacked a little spice, but the marinade was spot-on. Definitely a must for the carnivore. You'll be licking those bones clean.4. Roast Lamb: they did this right in all aspects. The meat was tender and flavorful. The typical gamey taste was minimal, evidence of impeccable slow-cooking technique.Lows:1. Eggplant dip: lacked some flavor. The pita bread saved the day though.2. Potato wedges: flavorful with toppings of feta, but the potatoes were dry and airy and felt dessicated.3. Parking: located in the more cramped streets of San Juan, parking can be challenging especially on busy nights.Mediterranean is often misunderstood as boring and expensive. Yet Greeka Kouzina manages to debunk this myth. Their takes on the usual Greek staples are fresh and appealing. Their roasted meats are exceptional. The price range is definitely a plus, much cheaper than the more well known Greek restaurants. Greeka Kouzina has carved its own niche in this genre, stamping its own class.

Gave this branch a try because I enjoyed my dining experience in Greeka Banawe. I ordered the same thing, Beef Gyro and Potato Wedges in Greek Lemon Sauce. Still great and consistent flavor! The veggies in the Gyro are fresh and crisp, and the marinade of the beef is so good. I could no longer eat the pita because I was already full, but I couldn't stop eating the meat. The first floor of the restaurant is a bit small but they do have a second floor. This is turning out to be one of my favorite restaurants in Manila.
