Ordered a range of tasty food from here for delivery via website. Loved the meal.Street Tacos was good. We tried Asada and Pollo. Both were great. Chimichanga Steak was also very tasty. Chicken Enchiladas were very good too.All dishes tasted fresh and of good quality.

I only got to try the lengua burrito and Peruvian chicken. The lengua burrito was so good and the lengua so tender 👌! The Peruvian chicken on the other hand lackes the Peruvian chicken spices and just tasted like chicken barbecue. It was good but tasted like chicken barbecue.. I plan to try the street tacos and quesadillas next time since this is the same group as el chupacabra and i loved those there 🍴😊.

The sibling of the urban legend El Chupacabra, El Cabrito seeks to dish out homey Mexican food without the stress of Googling the place and haggling for a parking. Of course, the street food charm is maintained, albeit with airconditioning.Managed by Mexicali, this unassuming Mexican joint is more than just a taqueria. The menu is vast, and even the dessert is a legacy.Highs:1. Pork barbecue: Yes, a favorite Pinoy dish in a Mexican joint, standing out because of its smokey grilled taste, and tender fatty morsels. Akin to Reyes barbecue's skewers, the meat is juicy and flavorful on its own.2. Carne Asada Gringa: their version of quesadilla. The flat bread is lightly seared, but maintains a delicate balance of chewy and crispy. The beef is excellent, tender all throughout and has that smokey grilled flavor. Served with 3 kinds of sauces, watch out for the green one, which is the spiciest but pairs well with the quesadilla. Seemingly, this one tasted better than the El Chupacabra version I had before.3. Chicken Skin chicharrones: Jollibee's chickenjoy stripped of its skin, at least it tasted that way. Crisp and crackling, the skin is sinful. Pairs well with the vinegar dip but also blends well with the white sauce. Seriously, Jollibee should come up with this soon.4. Nachos Especiales: A huge platter of crisp nachos, showered with loads of ground beef, chili, jalapeno, and beans. The beef is consistent, flavorful and good. The nachos remains crisp even after a while. It can get really spicy but one can request for a glass of milk to dissipate the heat.5. Lord of the Wings: Badass wings drenched in fiery red chili sauce. A word of caution, not for the faint of heart. The wings are crisp on the exterior but a bit inconsistent, with the meat coming out a tad dry. Still, the sauce is generous, a play on the classic buffalo sour zest and of course an insane level of spiciness. Order the platter and it comes with a huge serving of thick cut fries that are also quite good, no lard here.6. Butterscotch Pie: Homey comfort food. The meringue top is attractive and addicting, while the custard filling is oozing with pleasure on the palate. Perfect neutralizer for all the off-the-charts flavors here.Lows:1. Flying Chupacabra Hot Wings: With the LOTW setting up a high bar, this one fails. The wings lack flavor, despite being nicely crisp and crunchy. Too tame an option, as they should create something in between the LOTW and this one.A good move by Mexicali, riding on the success of Chupacabra and bringing its signature dishes to the more privileged crowd. The location is good, the atmosphere more inviting, and the food consistent. Look for El Cabrito to develop its own loyal following and craft its own legend.

A nice late night spot for drinks and grub. Stopped by here for a late dinner and was satisfied with the dish I had. I had the S. F. Sisig and Eggs, which while extremely oily, was flavorful and filling. I was really excited for the Chicken Skin Chicharrones and was overwhelmed by the serving! Each piece is huge! Recommended for a big group but not for solo or 2 people. Food is above average, customer service was okay.

Food - 4Ambiance - 4Service - 3From the same group that created El Chupacabra, the place offers good tasting Mexican food at a very affordable price.RECOMMENDED:- Carne Asada Burrito with fries (P275): I like the flavor of the beef in the Burrito. Be warned that there's beans inside so you might not enjoy it as much if you're not a fan of beans. They provide sauces per table and it complements well with this. The place seemed like it's understaffed. It was a bit difficult to get their attention. Aside from that, everything is good. Would like to come back to try other dishes.

This is my third visit here in El Cabrito and I must say there are quite a few changes in the place that made it turn for the worse. Admittedly, the pricing on their menu items are a little steep, but hey like they say... You play, you pay. The flavor is still moderately adequate compared to the other mexican places. The burritos are still sizeable. We ordered the carne asada kind. The meat on the burritos were not cut properly that when you bite into it, the struggle of the meat pulling out of the burrito is real. In short, makunat! We ordered a side of nachos, wherein when the bill came was priced 45 bucks... seems fair, right? Alongside the chips was a side of salsa of what looked like tomatoes, onions and cilantro chewed up and regurgited in a ramiken. It was probably around a couple of tablespoons to that serving, that cost an amazing low price of 45 pesos. It was mediocre at best. Why don't they just charge it one time big time for 200 bucks with unlimited refills with the salsa. Leaves a better impression on the diner. Upon ordering, we were given plastic flatware. As in uber plasticky flatware, the kind you win in the perya when your daga goes to the bahay you betted on. The serving ware in Retiro Pares looked more presentable. Dunno if it was intentional or what but it didn't really sit well with me. Before, they used to have squeeze bottles for their garlic and chili sauces... now, its rationed. They didn't scrimp naman when you asked for extras, I just found it too tedious to be calling the wait staff just for that. And finally, the drink section of the menu is a sham. They don't have any refillable drink in the menu. I ordered some cranberry juice. It was priced at 90 pesos. I got a glass of about 8 ounces and was filled liberally with ice. The service water glasses were significantly bigger that the juice glasses. At short of a hundred bucks, I was at least expecting 20 inch tumbler that they used to have in the old Mexicali fame. Such a disappointment. The crew was courteous and attentive (we were the only diners around). The decor was practical and the washrooms were clean; So thats probably a good thing. Will I go back? Probably not in the near future. I'm giving them a good 6 months to mend their pathetic ways. Ill leave it at that.

Here's my honest opinion about this mexican resto. "Its not that bad but not too good either". Their mexican tacos was some what authentic (soft taco) however, the lengua tacos tasted blant for me. If you will be trying out this resto be sure to order the carne asada (tasted like tapa), horcata (mexican rice drink similar taste with soya milk), nachos was okay (big serving for this even if I ordered solo). The burrito (carne asada) is no doubt good. If you are craving for mexican food you may try this resto but be sure to have patience because wait time is pretty long. Joseph Mari Duya Luzuriaga

The hard shell tacos and nachos are good but the service really sucked. It took a while to have our order served to our table plus, we had to ask for plates and utensils. They should also check their exhaust system because when they start grilling bbq or chicken, the smoke fills up the place.

I've been on a mission find a good mexican restaurant here in the Philippines as most 'mexican' restaurants here fill their burritos with rice as a filler to make their burritos larger. Which it's pretty much cheating the customer. The sauces they usually less than authentic or just not even close at all to Mexican. Coming from Las Vegas and southern California, I've had my fill of eating alot of Mexican food from friends houses as well as restaurants. So once I saw this place having a 'San diego' side of their dishes, I had to check this place out.I've tried the Carne Asada burrito San Diego style. Which meant they filled it up with fries instead of rice. If anybody has eaten at robertos or alertos or albertos in the orange County, San Diego, or Las Vegas area. This is close to the Carne Asada fries burrito. It's decent least to say. Meat, in terms of how much they give, was alright. Not to shady with it but not really generous either. I asked to separate the sauces of the 'wet' burrito so I could taste the sauces individually. Comes regular, wet, grilled, and fried I believe in terms of how it's cooked/served. There were 4 sauces, cheese, salsa, sour cream, and some dark red sauce which I'm unfamiliar with. Cheese was alright, salsa was legit, the sour cream tasted like rotten milk which was no good, and dark red sauce was decent. Over all it was alright. Also got the horchata. And that was legit too. Closest so far to what I'm used to back home out of all the Mexican places I've tried over here. About 60-65% close. Most Mexican places here in the Philippines are just a representation of what they think Mexican is, which is kinda insulting the culture. And I don't think that's cool. A little on the pricey side but at least I'm paying for something that is close to legit versus paying heavily on something that pretends to be Mexican and stuff it with huge amounts of rice.
