My website college friends and I decided to roam around San Juan and pig out. We had a game plan ready. Sadly, a few of the stops on our list were closed as it was a Sunday. I was running late (thanks to the crazy Uber surge) and my friends were getting hungry. They then decided to go to a coffee shop nearby named Backyard Coffee.

Quiet ambiance, perfect for group study! Place quite small and simple interior. We ordered tapa which is good, their café latte its okay but nothing much but I would recommend that you try their pesto pasta with fish fillet ⭐️ it's deliciously creamy!!! 👍🏻

Strong coffee, really good. Deliiiicious ube cake: moist, fluffy, not too sweet, makes you wanna keep on eating. Internet connection can be wonky. But it's generally a quiet place, great for meetings and working. I had their tapa once, was pretty expensive at 250 or so. But it was really good -- a dry, robust tapa and very garlicky garlic rice because they gave the garlic enough time to brown, and fluffy and moist scrambled eggs. ☺ Have gone back. Will go back.

Food - 3.5Service - 4.0Ambiance - 3.5We went here to get brunch and chill a bit. Their ambiance lacks the cozy coffee shop feel but it's nice and quiet. They also have good WiFi connection. Food was okay - we ordered Spanish omelette and grilled cheese sandwich. They use a different kind of bread which I liked.

I'm always on the lookout for good coffee shops in the neighborhood, that's why I was delighted when I chanced upon this coffee shop situated at the 2nd floor of Rustan's. I love that they have glass windows, cafés which have natural lighting is always a plus for me. I liked their cappuccino and their beef tapa is a best seller! I usually go here if I need some work to be done. It's a great coffice for a day.:)

I would have given it a perfect score had it not been for the blasting music played by the staff. You can barely hear the person you're talking to because it was that loud. Yep! Contrary to what i had read on the previous reviews, it was not peaceful and quiet at all. I came here to study, after discovering this quaint little cafe next to Huat Pot. I was curious because it looked like a nice place to hangout, chill and just get some quiet time. I was quite disappointed though. (Tip: bring headphones or earplugs if you plan to study)On a different note, coffee is okay, the staff was nice attended to all our needs. Ordered their rice meal, a bit disappointed serving of the egg was small. But the longganisa was okay. I hope they can instead play soothing relaxing and chill music, acoustic music would be appropriate instead of blasting music. :)

This place is perfect for those barkada nights when you just want to chill and share endless stories with your friends. Their cakes are delicious. We ordered lava cake, sansrival and dulce cheesecake. Even though sansrival is their best seller, for our group, the lava cake was the bomb! Nothing special for their coffee and honestly, I find my drink (honey nut latte) too sweet. But their ambiance is so relaxing and perfect for those artsy instagram photo takers.

The place was newly renovated which made the place a bit crowded compared to the old interior. Their cakes are delicious... not too sweet, not to blunt either. Servers were a bit busy going in and out of the kitchen that we had to wait for someone to go out and had to refill our glass of water. Food- 4/5Ambiance- 4/5Service- 4/5

Love the relaxing and inviting atmosphere of the place. Staff are very courteous. Coffee and tea are served in very nice cups. Especially their hot tea. Love the teapot and cup!
