CAFE VIA MAREThis is my go-to restaurant whenever I crave for Filipino food.Their food always satisfies me. I've eaten here several times already and noticed the consistencies of their food. They have a great selection of all time Filipino dishes here. I always order their Rellenong Talong (P120), Boiled eggplant stuffed with sauteed ground pork and pan-fried with beaten eggs. Spicy Tuyo Flakes (P180), spiced dried herring in olive oil with garlic & spices. Chicken & Pork Adodo (P295), Chicken & pork belly slowly cooked in soy sauce and vinegar with garlic and bay leaf. Tortang Alimasag (P185), Crabmeat omelet served with fried vegetable egg-roll. Crispy Binagoongan (P298) is really mouth-watering. The Pancit Luglog (P195) is so masarap & savory. Their Pork Tocino (P280) is also one of my favorite because of the perfect sweetness & tenderness of the pork. I also tried their Lomi (P165), it has a lot of ingredients & very tasty. For their dessert, of course, they have these delicious Bibingka with Laguna cheese & salted duck egg (P115) or with queso de bola (P138), Puto Bumbong (P70) & Palitaw (P45) is also yummy. The servers are very polite & the service is superb!#aroundthecitybyIDOMNEinstagram - IDOMNE

Via Mare is one of the best places to get your fill of Filipino comfort food.My favorites are the fresh lumpiang ubod (P132), arroz caldo (P205) with tokwa't baboy (P172), pansit luglog (P230), bibingka wih Laguna cheese and salted duck egg (P130) and puto bungbong (P80) with queso de bola (add P26) and palitaw (P55).Recently I got to try their Tortang Alimasag (P195) served with fried eggroll, that just tasted like what my 'yaya' used to cook. Fresh sweet flavors of crab in an omelet.Their Kare-kare (P410) was just ok. I prefer the more intense kare-kare flavor of a Filipino "Fried chicken house".But all-in-all, Via Mare would be a favorite place to go back to when craving for something close to home.

Nothing ever goes out of style. That's why Via Mare has been operating almost forever for someone like me who grew up eating their food. For this sunday I went with their classic arroz caldo with tokwat baboy and halo halo. I was 8 again even for a few minutes.

The restaurant was empty when we came. The waiter was attentive and polite. We ordered the beef sinigang (so delicious) and the alimasag omellete (cooked well). Will definitely come back in this branch. You can have a relaxing dinner with your family/friends here

I recommend getting the chicken arrozcaldo (especially yummy in a rainy afternoon). They have good filipino breakfast meals that is served all day, the tuyo meal a favorite of the family. The dinuguan, molo soup also a must try. Of course one of the signature dishes of via mare is the rockafellar oysters as an appetizer. Good service, everything served hot and fast.

The Christmas feel is setting in so in our search for Bibingka and Puto Bumbong we tried Via Mare! This longstanding Filipino restaurant has always been a good go to place for good food and good Pinoy kakanin desserts. So excited for kakanin we ordered merienda and dinner all at the same time. We had....Molo Soup: served hot, refreshing and you can really taste the molo and spring onions but quite salty for my tastePancit Luglog: Another favorite from this place that's best paired with Puto I loved it because of the balance between the seafoods, pork and the sauce.Crispy Binagoongan: Pinoy style would be lechon kawali with pakbet veggies on the side and of course the hilaw na manga and sweet/salty sautéed shrimp paste oh yummy and crispy! Bibingka: I've tried a lot from sidewalk vendors to mainstream resto but I can't get enough of their version the highlights are the Laguna cheese and the strips of salted egg and of course the perfectly baked Bibingka cake!!!! Best with niyog and muscovado though I prefer coco sugar but only Rockwell branch has it (greenhills and Eastwood branches both gave us muscovado)Puto Bumbong: pure malagkit rice that's for sure top with melted butter, young coconut and muscovado really a hit!For good Pinoy food that will make you feel like coming home visit cafe via Mare!

Bangus was really good and should be good considering its price minus a great ambience. Staff must mind the latrin in as it is a bit off......,,,,,,,,,,

If you're craving for Filipino food this restaurant should be on your bucket list, you will surely satisfy your cravings. A little pricey but it is justifiable, the staffs are also approachable.

Via Mare is still serving up Filipino classics. They serve one of my favorite versions of Dinuguan which I eat with rice (instead of puto unless it’s merienda time). The Vigan Longganisa is also a best seller though a bit pricey at ₱330. The tokwa’t baboy is another classic and served the traditional way which we always also order (though I really like Providore’s tokwa’t baboy too, a bit fancier in taste & esp in presentation). The best part about eating here are the Filipino desserts! I wanted to order all! But had to stick to my fave puto bumbong. If it were merienda time and I hadn’t ordered any rice meal, I probably would have ordered bibingka and palitaw as well! (Hi Via Mare, hope you could also offer Turon in your restaurants! With langka and lots of sugar coating please. Here’s hoping you can read this review. 🤞🏼)Via Mare is definitely a go-to when you’re craving for Filipino food.
