Boyfriend and I dropped by for early lunch a few weeks ago. We both ordered ramen, shoyu base. It wasn't bad actually. It satisfied our ramen craving despite not really being "authentic". Not perfect but for the price it was good enough. I've tasted worse ramen (haha), but really Yasu's ramen wasn't bad. We were also happy with our sashimi order. Yes, the order did take a while but not so long that we got impatient. Then again, the customers at that time were just us and another table. But based on our first experience, we'd definitely be back :)

"What you see is what you get". The quality of their food isn't as outstanding as compared to "real" Japanese restaurants but for me, the satisfaction you get is fair when you consider their price. My girlfriend and I visited SM Sta Mesa for a quick dinner around 9pm last night. Since she was craving for ramen, we tried this restaurant. We ordered a Chiken Katsu set (Chicken Katsu, Rice and Miso Soup) and a Shoyu Ramen alongside two glasses of Red Iced Tea. Though the taste of the food was somewhat average, I must say I'm satisfied. I only paid around 200+ pesos for that quick dinner and walked out from the place with our hungry tummies pleased.

We were craving for ramen and tokyo tokyo is crowded so we decided to eat here expecting they will give us good ramen. Medyo matagal maiserve yung ramen and the taste is bland. Im expecting it's better than most ramen we tasted but nothing special on this.

A couple of Sundays back, Josh and I decided to try this fastfood type Japanese restaurant in SM City Sta. Mesa before watching GotG Vol. 2. Since we were both saving up, this is the perfect restaurant for us. 😁When we got there, there were minimal customers, so we did not have to queue for a long time. They have a pay as you order policy, like most fast food restaurants. Here's what we got: FOR ME:✔ SALMON BELLY TERIYAKI (Php 189) - ⭐⭐⭐I was pleasantly surprised at how plentiful the salmon belly pieces were! 😍 Each piece was lightly fried then coated with a teriyaki glaze. The salmon was tender and tasted sweet and fresh. My complaint though, is that the rice they used is not of good quality (it tasted and looked worse than fastfood chains' rice! 😣). The teriyaki glaze was also a bit too sweet and got a bit cloying when I was halfway through my meal. ✔ MISO SOUP (Php 39) - ⭐⭐I did not like their miso soup. 😢 It has a slightly off taste, which I cannot explain what it tastes like. The "texture" of the soup was a bit weird, too. Please do not order this when you visit. FOR HIM:✔ TENDON (Php 179) - ⭐⭐Josh said that their tendon was not really that good, though I was not able to have a taste since I am not a fan of Japanese fried food. He kept on saying that the sauce was wrong, and that it should have a thicker sauce poured on top, rather than the thin tempura sauce they provided him. He still finished his meal though, so it must be tolerable. It's a relatively okay and cheap meal, but don't expect authentic Japanese food when you visit. For me, Tokyo Tokyo is still the best Japanese fast food restaurant in the metro, and you might want to visit them instead to satisfy your Japanese cravings when you're on a budget. 👌#EatDrinkSplurge
