This is my 2nd time to dine at Wooden Spoon. I wasn't disappointed with the dishes served at this restaurant. I believe this is one of the good restaurants you can find along Katipunan which serves good Filipino dishes at reasonable prices. I ordered their Bicol Express as it was being raved about at website. Although I don't eat much of Bicol Express (since none of us are from Bicol) this made me crave for more. I wanted to take home some but there was none left after our meal. My mom ordered the Salmon Sinigang where as it surprised me with how good Salmon and the Sinigang combined is. Didn't get to order the Adobo flakes since we had that the first time we dined here. Service was really good and they were attentive to our needs. Water is being refilled without asking for one (which to me personally is good service) I would dine here again. I do hope their service won't change.

Wooden Spoon has been creating a buzz since the time it opened a few years ago. With so much to try in their menu, and the fact that its owned by Chef Sandy Daza (son of the famous Nora Daza), plus VERY affordable and delicious Filipino dishes, this place has obviously thrived well in the website industry. After a thousand failed attempts to dine here (Seriously! This place is ALWAYS full specially around dinner), Im happy that I finally got to try it recently. We had their Crab Pancit, Tostadong Adobo, Kare Kare, Stuffed Pechay, Pan Grilled Tuna Belly and Sinigang Lamandagat. The Kare Kare tastes great, as well as the stuffed pechay and crab pancit. After eating, we wanted to finish with something sweet but the pandan crepe which I personally wanted to try wasnt available so we opted to just have desserts somewhere else. While the food were satisfying, service was so-so (maybe because of the volume of people present that time).I hope to try Wooden Spoon again. I too wish that they'd provide bigger and better parking -- (limited, we always end up dining somewhere else because of this)..#zomatoph

I do not recommend their desserts esp. the crepe. If wax tasted like anything, this would probably be it. But food here in general is good. I love the kare kare.

Our go to place for affordable, delicious food with a twist by none other than the Sandy Daza!Old time faves- crab pancit, unique noodle dish w/ lots of eggs- tinapa fried rice, just the right combo and seasoning- stuffed pechay, spicy tinapa and meat stuffed pechay, pure GENIUS!!!First time to try the ff- adobo flakes, very thin crisp pieces. The garlic mayo dip grows on you.- shrimp pampango, very crispy w/ very creamy taba ng talangka dip! If you like nilasing na hipon, you will enjoy this too.- tortang talong, simply good. That sweet chili sauce as a proxy for catsup ain't so bad.- reyna blanca, they loved it- sago cake, interesting, loved the sweet sauce and pinipig- iced tea, good and doesn't taste like tea leaves/teabagsTried the squid and chili w/ mushrooms on a previous visit and liked that tooService was very good that dayLimited parking slotsOnly a few tables on the first floor. There is a steep spiral staircase leading to a much bigger dining area.Cash basis only
