Late lunch with wifey at Wangfu Chinese BistroDifficult drive from Madison Square to Tomas Morato due to heavy traffic.  Cruised the whole stretch of Tomas Morato to search for a place to eat (the new version of the website app was a bit difficult to use)Wifey decided to finally try Wangfu.  A chinese "bistro" partly owned by a famous actor (Ser Chief). If I remember correctly this store located at the second floor (top of UCC cafe) used to be a terriyaki boy for many many years.Wifey was choosing between pork lychee and salted egg fried chicken.  Based on the price, I decided to have the chicken (my wife was also partial to the chicken as we will celebrate her lola's birthday tomorrow and that means lots ans lots of lechon for her).Wifey also had her eyes set on the seafood mango roll and scallop fried riceAs I gave this store 5 points, I will start with all my comments: (1) the salted egg fried chicken looked and tasted like fried chicken covered with clover chips, (2)  the seafood mango roll looked like the famous peach mango pie of Jollibee, (3) the scallop fried rice tasted like regular fried rice.Let me explain: (1) I highly recommend the salted egg fried chicken - it was delicious and the portions were huge! good for 3-5 people :)(2) the taste of the seafood mango roll was heavenly - I think that if you add some peach flavor there it would be a filipino-chinese bistro masterpiece :)(3) the scallop fried rice was very light and the flavors were sublime - it was beautiful to behold and the main aspect that caught my eye was that the portions were big enough for 3-4 peopleTaste wise, price wise, interior decoration wise - Wangfu deserves 5 points from me :) I can't believe it took me so long to eat at Wangfu - will definitely be back and eager to taste some morethe trainee waiter informed us of neat trick: the menu items with bigger photos are the best of the best sellers :)

Really liked their Japanese Silken Tofu and their dumplings. Prices are also very affordable as well as the serving size, and the service was okay. As for the place, we went dinner time so it's a little crowded but they were able to accommodate us fast.

The interiors of Wangfu were lovely, this was why we were taken by surprise when we learned that their dishes were very cheap (prices range from Php200+ to Php300+ mostly). I loved their Seafood Green Soup. But after finishing a small bowl, I got so full that I got to eat only a few spoonfuls of rice! Hakaw was not that good, and a bit sticky. The beef crispy noodles were great! The dish had generous servings of beef and sauce. The sauce, though a bit salty, was very tasty. Pork floss prawns were okay. Prices are very affordable without sacrificing quality, will definitely come back!
