A fancy resto located at 3rd floor of Ayala Fairview Terraces, one couldn't just pass by without taking a second look. This is not another pink resto in town, thus the yellow chairs, blue green wall and an ambience that somewhat looked like an English garden tea party. The table were set elegantly with dainty flowers on colored vases, wine bottle as water pitcher and paper mats that resembled like a scrapbook paper. On how they serve their signature coffee will surely leave you in awe.The Main EventChorizo LasagnaAll-day breakfast of beef belly bacon and Angus sukiyaki tapa with garlic riceTwist Coffee (blend of Italian, Benguet and Barako, served siphoning way)Green Apple w/ MintI've also tried ordering Goat's Milk Pannacotta but they were not available that day. *brokenheart*Upon sitting, they immediately served us croutons with bacon funghi dip. Surveying the whole resto, I've noticed that Twist was also selling bottled goodies - from gourmet cheese and sauces all the way to cookies and preserves. The bacon funghi tasted so good, I wanna take home a bottle. Sadly, the bacon funghi dip wasn't part of the items sold.So let me begin by telling you how awesome they've prepared my coffee was, the siphoning way."Siphoning: A pipe or tube in the form of an upside-down U, filled with liquid and arranged so that the pressure of the atmosphere forces liquid to flow upward from a container through the tube, over a barrier, and into a lower container." (From freedictionary)First, they've set up a cup of water in a circular flask on a burning lamp. The powdered coffee blend were on a separate glass container where the siphoning tube was connected. When the water boiled, they've attached the siphoning tube inside the flask. I was amazed when the water went up to the powdered coffee, blended well, and went down all by itself. Detaching the empty siphoning tube from the flask, the staff poured the coffee onto my cup. It was well-stirred with no traces of lumps. Amazing! Although it was a powdered coffee, the aroma reminded me of kapeng barako. Twist coffee was served on a chopping board (everything was on chopping board, btw), with choices of Splenda, Muscovado or white sugar, and a shot of milk. It was an awesome experience, veering away from your usual Barista handcrafted beverage. Hihi. I haven't had a coffee prepared that way in my entire life.Onto the food, they are serving 100 Ways to All-Day Breakfast, choosing 2 of any kind on the list that goes with a garlic rice and an egg. It was called 100 ways because of the probability on how many combinations you can make in their breakfast list. What I had was beef belly bacon and USDA beef Angus sukiyaki tapa served with a ruler-like figure, 4-in scrambled egg. That left me wondering how they do plating for sunny side up. Hihi. The bacon was so crispy, not salty nor too oily! I prefer my bacon not too crispy, but their version had me begging me for more. As for the sukiyaki tapa, it was tender and soft, a far cry from the dark-coloured tapa we're used to. Aside from minding the chewable size of garlic on my rice, the meal was definitely a thumbs up.I was expecting another-rectangular-lasagna-on-the-market but this one was served on a medium-sized soup bowl with croutons on top. Had I never knew it was lasagna, the appearance could've pass as a tomato soup. It was layers and layers of cheesy stuff, so cheesy I can't even notice where the pasta was. Shout out to pasta lovers, I recommend this dish to you.The Green Apple smoothie was a winner! Actually, everything was! We opted not to put mint and they gladly accommodate our request. My S/O and I fell in love with it on the first sip! We were like drinking an apple juice, freshly picked from the tree, straight to the juicer! It tasted so perfect that I doubt if they added sweetener on it.The bill came inside a white, keepsake box. They've really stick to their concept and chose the box instead of handling you a familiar black bill holder you've seen gazillion times. The staff were professional and well-trained. The prices were affordable and reasonably priced in proportion to the serving size.We were billed less than P900 for two. Inclusive of service charge.Al fresco seats are available for smokers.Time of visit: 06 Dec 2014 18:30PS: This was just the start! My S/O and I loved it so much we promised to come back for more! ♥

Decided to try Twist for the first time, attracted with the vibrant color and curious because of their menu empty of photos :-) The names of their dishes sound elegant and complicated and despite the steep price that we saw on the list, hubby and i, together with my 2 kids decided to give it a try. Something new for dinner.Place looks nice inside. One thing to consider though is that their walls are transparent and what's facing you is an escalator. We got a little bit conscious with the traffic.Food:For our starter, we tried their mushroom soup which was a total hit to us. It had chunks of mushroom and very tasty, not too hot and not too cold. I'd sure be coming back only for this soup.We ordered soda for drinks and hubby got a fresh orange juice. I liked it that their juice was really fresh, as in extracted fresh with the bits and pulpy taste, not the kind which came from a can.We decided to order their version of Adobo and lechon Kawali. their dish names are too long to remember but I'll try to find my receipt so I can give more accurate info. Before the meals arrived, we waited at least 10 to 15 minutes and as free appetizer, they gave us some toasted bread with this cheese spread. My daughters loved the dip and asked for more :-)Our meals arrived with beautiful presentations but for the adobo, it came a quick bit sour than I expected. I always cook adobo at home but this time, I can still smell the freshness of the vinegar. My husband liked it the way it is but it's just me maybe. Meat (chicken, pork, beef) were all tender and a bit oily but tasty I may say. For the lechon kawali, again, I can't say anything about the presentation. But the pork wasn't as crispy and tasty as I expected. I was wondering maybe it was already very late (it was past 8 when we dined in) that was why it tasted that way. But the base sauce was tasty and my eldest daughter couldn't help requesting for a tiny serving of that to go with her rice. When we got the bill, not surprised at all but still I think it's a bit steep to dine, P1,100 for 2 meals, 2 extra rice and 2 drinks. I thought I will enjoy the jars of condiments and spices being sold inside the restaurant but they were all so expensive, with most of the jars (litte jars) ranging from 200 pesos above.I am hoping that we haven't seen the best of Twist. With those complicated meal names and presentation, I think it deserves a second chance. Maybe we need to taste the others from their menu.

I saw a picture of my friend in a cute restaurant and found out that it was Twist in Fairview Terraces. So, right after school, I asked my boyfriend to try it. And we did it. It's quite far since I live in Bulacan but it's really worth it. It was just the two of us there, probably because it's a weekday and lunch time. Their service is just okay, not too fast, not slow either. The guy waiting our table is friendly. About their food, it's quite ordinary but still delicious. What you'll love about this place is the ambience of restaurant because it's really really cute. C'est mignon beacoup! :)Overall, I had a great time. Whenever you're in Fairview Terraces and Chili's packed with people and you're craving for breakfast at any time of the day, you may want to opt to eat at this restaurant. Reccommendable! :)

Great ambiance for eating with family, friends, and dates! I celebrated my birthday here with my family and we ordered East Meets West, Twist Beef Burger, Chicken Pastel, Chorizo Lasagna, and the Taal Breakfast. Everything tasted great! The East Meets West chicken was slightly undercooked inside but they were more than happy to take it back to the kitchen to be thoroughly cooked. We also had the Goat's Milk Pannacotta for dessert. It wasn't life-changing, but still good and worth every centavo. They also have sauces, marinades, spreads, and even preserved fish and meat for sale. My mom bought a bottle of their Garlic Tuyo which tastes okay, but a bit bland for my taste. Everything they offer are common comfort food but are served with a twist, really living up to their name!

It's actually my second time dining at twist and though I haven't written a thing about my first experience doesn't mean that I didn't like it. Theirs was a very curious menu, some imagination required though as they do not include images of food they are serving. It was fine and all for me, then I thought some restaurants hand out their awesome menus without giving a second hard look at what they're serving, so meh.The ambiance is all fine with this branch, the food is very satisfying and we enjoyed every bit of our stay. The fusing of Filipino flavors with Western and European cuisine is really evident and in my opinion really played well for the establishment. If you want to go for something different, you really ought to try this humble branch just located on the 3rd floor of ayala terraces. After all that's been said, this is a must try to all of you out there feeling a bit curious and adventurous. An experience definitely safe and satisfying for all ages.
