My brother-in-law treated us here on his birthday recently. I did not recall what were ordered to be exact, but I remember we had kare kare mixed platter (i think it was crispy pata, beef, and shrimp with the standard veggies).Given that kare kare is their flagship, it did not disappoint. The sauce is thick and the flavor is rich and extraordinary, you won't need to add bagoong anymore. The beef was tender, and the crispy pata lives to its name.I also requested for salpicao, which my family remarked to be a bit salty but I think it's becauseEit was meant to be consumed with rice to balance the flavors out.I also would like to commend the server William who has enthusiastically served everyone in SM North EDSA Annex branch. I believe it is his aura which also pulls customers back to the establishment.

Kare-kare is one of my most favorite foods. I have passed by this restaurant in Annex for years and never paid much attention to it at first. (But was always curious as to why so many people eat in their place) One day, my mom insisted for us to go in that place, because she knew kare-kare is my favorite. Skeptical at first, because so many restaurants claim that they have the "best kare-kare" (tried, was okay, edible yes, but you know, never marked in my mind) so I ordered their Classic Kare-kare to gauge if they really have the best as to what their claims are. Had to wait for 20mins, nearing irritability, but tried to be patient. Then, there it was. It was served on a platter, the sauce is in a mini ceramic spouted pot. (Thought it was peculiar out of all Kare kare i ever experienced) got them veggies, meat, then poured over their golden sauce. And then ate it. And mygod. It is true. They are the real house of Kare-kare. Most legit I ever tasted. This restaurant should be bowed down by the bogus claimers of the "best kare-kare". Rating 5 stars. :)

Kare kare kare is really their specialty, yummy! Ordered kare kare, sisig and still want some bulalo soup but we are only 3. Thanks to kuya who suggested we can order bulalo soup only so we can satisfy our cravings.

It was a good choice to dine in here. The place is okay and clean. Their Beef Tapa is superb! You’ll even want to put your rice on the left over sauce. Tasty Pinakbet with Bagnet. Lovely Mango cake, I forgot it’s exact name! Will definitely bring my parents here when I have the chance too. Thumbs up!

True to their claim, they serve an excellent kare-kare with a mildly sweetened sauce. The dish is good for two: the meat and veggies are separated from the sauce. Meat is tender, veggies are not overcooked. Consequently, if you order their mango shake, the glass is large enough for sharing by two people.

Tres was definitely the house of Kare-Kare. We had the Seafood Kare-Kare for a change. The sauce was the most thick and creamy peanut buttery goodness I've tasted. I appreciated that we can customize our Kare-Kare sauce with additional chili oil and grounded peanuts. Although, I'm not satisfied with the little amount of sauce they gave. Their Callos is sinfully good. I expected for it to be an oxtripe but they gave us fat that is derived from an oxtail. Their Brownie ala Mode is delicious with the right amount of sweetness and the chocolate flavor of brownie is strong as evidenced by its almost blackish color.

I really wanted to dine here because it seemed to me that their food taste good. Indeed, I was not disappointed when I ate here last April 12. I ordered Seafood Kare-Kare, Bagnet Mantecado, and a slice of Birthday Mango Cake. The sauce of Kare-Kare is thick and tastes superb. The Bagnet, sauteed in garlic and butter, is sliced thinly and so tender. While the cake is a generous layer of wafer with cashew nuts, cream, mango slices, and a bit of chocolate that is much better than Conti's Mango Bravo because it is dense yet not too sweet. Meanwhile, the customer service was good yet they don't have service charge. I would definitely comeback to try more and leave a tip next time.
