I have practically grown up with this food place. From College to being a Working Adult, this is one of my staple food places in Cubao when it comes to Japanese food.[Updated Review 2019]Came here during my vacation and ordered the Karaage Half Bento with a Classic Upgrade of miso soup, red iced tea and coffee jelly. I also added on a 2 pc. Ebi TempuraService was done in time, my food all arrived within less than 15 minutes. The Karaage Chicken is still nice and tender with just the right crispy skin, the veggies are a bit bland but crunchy, sauce provided more flavor to the chicken as it should and their "Unli" rice is still available which was great!Miso soup was nice and warm and the tempura was densely battered but despite looking heavy, it tastes light and delicious.Dessert was okay, you can't go wrong with coffee jelly which had two layers of milk coffee and dark coffee jelly.Red iced tea still tastes like candy orange but it was cold and still has the same flavor as 10 years ago.Overall, It was nice to that Tokyo Tokyo is still consistent with the service speed, food and flavor.

I have been craving for tempura since my classmates had their Sumo Big Katsu for Two w/ four pieces of Shrimp Tempura. I was so jelly and had been drooling for days since they told me even the Big Katsu was delish!! So I asked my boyf when we were at Cubao. Gladly, he accompanied me to satisfy my cravings. After walking through Gateway up to Ali Mall, we had more walks in finding the store inside. When we finally got there, the store was really well-lit and ventilated. So we have not experienced 'uncomfy-ness'. Staffs were really nice and approachable. I even asked if I could make our drinks large even i we had the receipt and it was now punched from the cashier because at first I was so indecisive. So yeah, she acknowledged me and politely changed my order. When they brought our orders to our tables, we thanked God for the food and abruptly tasted it (not minding to take photos because we are hungry af). At first bite, we both looked at each other and say "SARAAAAAP!!" The Katsu is the 💣! I must say this is the best order I had at Tokyo Tokyo! I even had three cups of rice, which is so surprising of me, while he had 5. I ha the Tempura because I believe in the saying "Save the Best for Last." Yes, cravings satisfied!! I will definitely be back for another round of Big Katsu Meals and recommend it with my friends. 😍🙋

What is it about Tempura, that everyone seems to go crazy over it. I always say, go to a buffet, and you’ll see even the most timid of people fight for the last piece of tempura. The tempura station usually has a line as long – or sometimes even longer – than the carving station! And even when they dump in a new batch, within seconds, you can be guaranteed that it’ll be all gone.

Food - 4/5I ordered Sriracha Beef Ramen with karaage add on. The Broth of the ramen was good considering this is fast food but as for the noodles it was like saggy pasta. The karaage was crispy and the inside was tender and moist.Service - 4/5Crews are friendly and respectful just like the traditional Japanese culture.Venue - 3/5Place was a bit clustered, shows that they are maximizing the space. Typical fastfood ambiance.

Today I tried their unagi style bangus that took forever to arrive but it was good.I did not get any rice refill because the staff were busy as it is almost their closing time.Still my fave menu item: their red iced tea.
