Hard truth: When you are a healthy eater, it’s very difficult to find restaurants that offers quality yet affordable dishes. So, when I stumbled upon this restaurant I can’t help but leap in joy not only it is affordable but it is tasty and made of love and awesome goodness. We ordered the following:1. Crispy Tofu Skin - Very tender and tasty. Good pica-pica while waiting for the main dish. The serving size is good for 2-3 pax.2. Mixed Fruit and Vegetable Salad - The dressing is yum! My only concern is that the proportion of fruits to the vegetable is so little. Serving size is good for 1.3. Classic Caldereta - Super yum!! Serving size is quite big. I can eat this all day every day!4. Lengua in Mushroom Sauce - Another super yummy dish! I greatly recommend it. Beats the usual lengua plus it’s healthy.Service and Accommodation - The staff are courteous and very attentive. There’s a homey vibe in the restaurant that makes it a very chill and perfect place to dine with your family and friends.

Being our first time to try out this restaurant, we were clueless as to where the restaurant was located. When we saw that there was no parking space available, my dad almost backed out, but since I was determined to let them try vegetarian food, I went down and asked where we could park. The owner kindly went out and helped us park the car on the other side of the street and reassured us that it was safe to park there since it was already late at night. The restaurant was really colourful and homey. We were served with lemon water and utensils immediately after we sat down. Since we didn't know what to order, we asked for the servers recommendations and trusted her suggestions which were:🍹Orange Ginger Cooler - I really like the taste since it was really refreshing. It had more of the orange flavor though than the ginger. 🍹Guava Lemon Cooler - This had more of the guava flavor, the taste was milder than the orange ginger but it was good as well. 🥘 BI-BIM-BAP - This was sooo good!!!! At first I thought the fresh mangoes were a bit weird, but it perfectly complimented the taste of the nori and the soy spareribs. The kimchi taste wasn't as prevalent but I didn't mind it that much since all the flavors went well with other. I just couldn't stop eating... the whole bowl was finished within no time. 🍛 Classic Caldereta - My non-vegetarian dad ordered this, and seeing him clearing his plate as fast as I did just shows how much he liked it. Even the 'meat' tasted like the real thing. The sauce was super tasty too! Perfect pairing with the brown rice 👍🏻🍝 Olive oil and Sardine Capellini - My sister had this and said it was just okay. The seasonings were right, but it was a bit dry. ☕️ Soy Coffee - The soy coffee was good too. It had a natural sweetness to it and it wasn't that bitter. It also came with a piaya, which I'm not a fan of in general, but yay for those of you who appreciate that delicacy.  🌟🌟 Recommended: Bibimbap and Classic Caldeta 🌟🌟

Great choice of vegetarian/vegan options as there are not only rice meals but appetisers, “Filipino breakfasts” and many other dishes. Includes faux-meat dishes as well as pre-packed take-away dishes to easily cook at home. The only downside is that there is no parking for this restaurant. I’d recommend this restaurant to both meat eaters and veg-eaters alike.

Everything that we ordered were all good and delicious. Seriously, you will forget that you are in a vegetarian restaurant. I will definitely comeback for the Bibimbap. It is my most recommended dish. Ambience is nice and clean. Staff were nice too. :)We also ordered the Sardine Pasta and the Caldereta which were great too!

Not only can you bring your vegetarian/vegan friends for a nice luncheon, you can also order their masterpieces by the platter and be deliciously different at a potluck!

A hidden gem of vegan/vegetarian friendly restaurant along Mother Ignacia. My boyfriend and I usually go here for dinner and we are impressed the two times we went here. We have tasted the Caldereta, Nachos, Spinach and Ricotta Dumplings, Lemon and Basil Pasta, Bibimbap, Roasted Pulled Pork, and Vegan Chocolate cake on separate occasions. Servings are larger than average. Food is tasty. You wouldn’t assume that what you are eating doesn’t have meat. Albeit, the prices are on the more expensive side (199php-up) This place provides insight that vegan food aren’t supposed to be bland or just leaves. The restaurant also has a homey vibe to it which I believe a lot of people would enjoy. The staff are friendly, a little quiet, but attentive to our requests. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to those looking to try vegetarian/vegan food!

Even though I felt like the waitress was a bit of a snob and declined my request to have the corn be shredded (I’m wearing braces that’s why I can’t eat corn on the cob), I would still come back for the food. It’s a bit expensive but the food is very tasty and the serving size is big. I would love to try the other dishes on their menu.

I’ve always passed this restaurant on the way to my office and I was so glad I finally stopped by. Vegetarian restaurants in manila is especially hard to come by so this resto is surely a life saver for all non-meat eaters out there! I ordered the bibimbap which tasted good although I would’ve appreciated if it had real kimchi on top. For dessert, I took out the dark chocolate cake and I must say, it’s one of the best vegan cakes I’ve tried! We’ll be back for sure!

I have desired to visit The Vegetarian Kitchen for the longest time now, and finally I was able to -- with a meat-loving, vegan-bashing group. When they tasted the food, nonetheless, they were amazed at how delicious our they were! Looking forward to sampling the other menu items. 😃🍽We had:SaladBibimbapCalderetaBurger and friesMatcha CakeFish Teriyaki with SobaWhat I liked most is their bibimbap. Not a fan of the matcha cake, however.

Food - 5/5Ambience - 4/5Price - 5/5Service - 5/5Tucked in an unlikely and inconspicuous section of Mother Ignacia street, The Vegetarian Kitchen boasts hearty, healthy, and all-vegetarian eats — ranging from starters, sandwiches, plates, and even soy, caffeine-free coffee with a dark chocolate cake for dessert!🍴FOOD:I ordered the vegan Korean Bibimbap (P245), an all-time favorite at their joint, since I was craving for a rice meal (the burger looked mighty tasty though). When the bowl came, it was served with spicy kimchi in a saucer. The servings were big! The bibimbap was delicious, having rightful servings of vegan meat, greens, cucumbers, nori seaweed, carrots, mangoes, and shredded lettuce. These were all served as topping for Korean rice. This was so good! ❤️👤 SERVICE:The service was excellent! The food was served in a jiffy, and the waiter was quick to refill my glass of water every time I ran out without me asking for it. I drink lots while eating and usually encounter problems with water refills at other restos, but Kuya was definitely on point! The bill was served quickly as well when we asked for it. ✨AMBIENCE:The place was quaint, homey, and straight to the point. There were separate tables for groups and a couch area. It’s not recommended for large groups, but intimate lunches and dinners. There was a decent wifi connection and sockets!Overall, I would definitely come back and try their other dishes! Good job, TVK. See you again soon! ❤️
