Been here like 7-8 times already and i always order their vegetarian pasta! Cant get enough of it. Their wifi is actually fast in case you want to stay and study there. Will come back for more pastas!

Cute place, with its wall art and book nook. Air-conditioned, okay place to work if you're a student. But we weren't quite satisfied with their meals. It was pretty pricey for the quality. Chicken, chorizo & mushroom risotto was good. Disappointed with the Cheesesteak sandwich. Bread was stale and the meat was hard to chew. Applepie smoothie was good as well, but I'd prefer if the ice was crushed or blended more.

Coffee priced at 105 was not enough for a coffeeholic like me. I'd normally get two cups but I needed at least 3 cups here. The pastries were delicious. The place is good specially upstairs where the designs in the walls were awesome. They have a great collection of books too.

Maginhawa street is just one of those places that does not quit. There's always a new resto or cafe opening or a new lot being set up as a food park or a new building being constructed. Crazy busy place. But I have a handful of places I go to where I'm most comfortable. No one bothers me nor looks at me and wonder why I'm alone. Sweet Spot is one. People here just go on their ways, are quiet, and are oblivious to the world. Students come here to review. Work people come here for a bit of catching up while I come here for a cup of Flat White before I go pick up my daughter from school. Sometimes we have lunch and order the same things: flat white, truffle mushroom soup, crisped beef shortribs and the southwestern chicken. All seem to satisfy my kid and I. The cakes are a hit and miss for me. The only thing I did like was the blueberry cheesecake. The rest are misses.

Well, price wise not bad very affordable. Ambiance is nice need more air conditioning on the second floor of the store. Deserts and drinks were okay, nothing great.

I'm not a fan of coffee so I never really had a reason to hang out here until I tried their strawberry cobbler. I expected a regular shake but it had something quite special! At P140, the quality of the shake delivered. Interiors and the vibe are eal great too 😁

I tried their lemony cupcake and its real good. I think this one's best fit to those who like to try pastry but isn't too cool with sweets. The place is also condusive for studying as it is quiet and it houses a nice gallery of books to dig in when you just want to relax.

Coffee culture becomes popular among Filipinos again with the rise of Starbucks industry, and it has turned the coffee shops, not only for intimate or relaxing conversations, but also for Sunday gatherings. The coffee culture of the present has effaced the long coffee history in the Philippines, which dates back during the Spanish to American colonial times. Thus, the millennium's Starbucks, on the one hand, is a welcome change for it makes the public again appreciate a cup of brewed coffee, which a lot have temporarily avoided for a decade for they were ensnared by the promises of the sachet ready-to-make instant coffee. However, on the other, at present, other Filipino brands tried to compete, and SWEET SPOT is one Filipino initiative that the giant Starbucks can step on, which is sadly, something I would not mind from happening. SWEET SPOT's selling point is coffee but its neighboring restaurant, just right the next door, sells better and much affordable coffee. The store tricks you with the pretentious kitchen interiors, but the balance between the water and the beans used seem to compensate with the money the company lost in this investment. Even their sweets, the very sites of sweet spot, are either baked on a rush, or those have been frozen for several days. The lighting of the place is very poor, and the interior design could not sharply draw its conceptual point. Clearly, students will go here for free wifi, and a cup of a bearable coffee, but it will only be those without anything remarkable. SWEET SPOT will surely soon witness its irrelevance if it does not think through its role in the history of Philippine coffee.

We ordered Dulce de Leche Cheesecake and Tiramisu. The cheesecake was tasty and creamy, with the hint of dulce flavor on top and the creamy filling and the crust which makes the cheesecake very delicious. The tiramisu on the other hand was sweet but you can taste a hint of bitter coffee; it also comes with lady fingers which are not so sweet.
