More than just their Mongolian bowls. If you have studied near or along Katipunan, chances are that you are familiar with Sweet Inspirations. This restaurant has been around since the 90s, one of the first to serve affordable Mongolian bowls in the area. (Remember Kublai's? Anyway, I digress) It's fun trying out different sauces and making your rice bowl fit your personal taste. Other than Mongolian rice, they have several cakes that are pretty decent. I particularly like the pistachio sansrival. I have seen their newly minted second branch open near our gym. We haven't gotten around to trying it until last week. After a particularly tiring workout, we just decided to eat at Sweet Inspi one floor up from our gym. We both decided on Adobo flakes served with rice and eggs. What's great here is you have an option of brown rice-- better glycemic index than the more popular white rice. I had mine still turned into garlic rice (they don't take shortcuts, they really cook the garlic rice thru and not just put garlic on top). I liked the adobo flakes-- the serving size was just right for a hungry, post workout individual. We couldn't resist getting the ube cake for dessert. We shared a slice-- sinful after a workout! I thought it a was little dry and I still prefer the pistachio sansrival any day. Looks like we will be coming back to this place soon!

Sweet Inspirations has been around for a long time. I remember always seeing it along Katipunan when I have errands to do within the area. However, I never got the time to drop by. I figured that I could get my slice of cake elsewhere. But I had no idea that this place offers more than sweets.Hello, Sweet Inspirations.

Food is nice. Service nice, but had to repeat follow on coffees and ice teas. Table setting could be better if placed on a better level. Could have used nice shafing dish than spread and leaning with your whole body across the serving table.
