Okay, so let's see the breakdown of my 3.0 for St. Marc Cafe at SM City North EDSA. I actually had already been to St. Marc Cafe in SM Megamall in Ortigas, and for me, it was the typical hipster cafe, not that it's a bad thing ;) Their food is okay... BUT... the menu is a little bit lacking on details. For starters, I ordered the "Carbonara", which was when served, had a half-cooked yolk on top... not that I didn't like it... but it said on the menu, "Carbonara", nothing else. What I expected from the pasta that I bought was just pasta with white sauce and bacon. But it had an egg yolk on top... which may or may not be a good innovation, though it didn't actually taste bad. So maybe they just wanted to spice things up a little... but imagine if the person who ordered his/her Carbonara didn't like eggs... and then they'll just be surprised right when the pasta is served that there's an egg yolk on top of their pasta. See my point? For the drinks, I ordered their Strawberry Frappe, and it was quite nice. Not very special. My manager (who was with me at the time) ordered the Choco Banana Frappe, wherein she described the chocolate used in the frappe to be too fine... and does not stand out at all, compared to other chocolate frappes in the market. The ambiance was nice, similar to Megamall. Dark and earthy tones all around... plastic samples also of their food can be seen around their cafe, which is good for showcasing their menu.During dining though, we experienced the following:1. Pasta (or viands) was served first before coffee (which we thought was a little weird since drinks should come first).2. Fingerprints can be seen on the plate surrounding the dish (pasta), which is a little unsettling, but bearable to some, maybe. That's about it. Overall a 3.0 since we enjoyed the food naman, though not sure for others if they experience the same thing we did :3

Ordered carbonara, black ink squid pasta, choco cro, mt fiji. A bit disappointed with the black pasta. Walang lasa gano. Desserts are ok. I just find their round table uncomfortable. Ang liit for 2 persons

The place is cozy, and it is clean. It is well lighted (not too bright, not too dark). I like they way they have their food presentation in front of their restaurant (see pictures). I ordered Carbonara (P300.00, no service charge). It's so creamy and saucy. The egg yolk will make the rich sauce to turn into yellow-orange color. I like it. It's delicious that the bacon strips complements the creamy suace. I find it 'nakakaumay' after some time (but believe me, it's delicious). The bread that comes with the Carbonara is hard to chew and that became my leftover. Self service. You have to get the spoon/fork and glass/water in a certain section and they'll not serve it to you. They won't bring your order on your table.
