An ideal place for a light snack, especially if you're a taho lover like me. They had a promo at the time I and my boyfriend ate here and it was worth price. It was a meal good for two at a much cheaper price. We had the tuna sandwich, beef quesadilla, tuna garlic pasta, and tofu meatballs pasta. And our visit here wouldn't be complete without ordering their chilled taho. Serving size was reasonable for the price we paid. Food tasted okay as well, nothing fancy.

What better way to end the December than a bizarre palate- change. I'm a Pinoy but I dont eat Taho. Sorry. But I tried it here and it's a little soothing to getting a Hot Taho. Also, the signature Calaman-Tea is indeed refreshing and most of all the Herby and Earthy taste of their Tuna Pasta on a Red Sauce. Get it for only, 150.00.

Soya Bar is like an oasis in a sea of restaurants that offer mostly meat-based fares in their menu. This place is also not bad if you're on a budget. Upon learning that they offer Tofu Sisig in their menu, I jumped at the chance to try it. Note that my observations were made during off-peak hours, so the experiences may vary during the lunch/dinner rush:FOOD: I ordered the Tofu Sisig rice meal, which came with brown rice (whoa healthy!) and a choice between their Basic Tea and their Calaman-Tea drinks. The tofu's texture wasn't far from the tofu you get from tokwa't baboy, and was drizzled with white sauce (which I'm assuming was mayonnaise). Even so, it tasted a bit dry, even with calamansi. :( As a set meal, the 150 php price tag was okay. But for the taste itself, IMO I think the 150 was a wee bit overpriced.I also saw that they serve taho (hot and chilled), so I ordered the 12oz hot taho to go for 40 php. Pearls were the same as the ones in Zagu and those other milk tea shops. The taho itself tasted just the same as the ones sold by your friendly Manong Magtataho.PLACE: Quiet and neat, with cozy-looking upholstered chairs. They have strong WiFi too; you need to ask the staff for the password, which they will personally input in your device. Freelancers and people who work remotely would love working here. What I didn't like was this particular seat in front of the counter with the high backrest. It lacked foam in the seat part, causing me to sink. Coupled with the slightly high table and my low height, and you could imagine how uncomfortable I was.SERVICE: Staff were polite and friendly, and they were attentive enough to notice that I would like to order food to go. Not bad.----Overall, the experience was okay. I'll just make it a point to sit at a different spot next time. Hehe. I'll try their sandwiches in the future. :)What I Liked:- The taho- The service / staff- The prices: affordable enoughWhat I Didn't Like:- That particular chair- The sisig (sorry! >.

Best chilled taho.. :) they let you put as much melted sugar as you want so if you're diabetic you can opt not to put any.. Their tapioca is sweet already anyway.. :)

I've tried their tofu meatballs and they taste good--you won't know their tofu although they don't taste like meat as well :D The place is very relaxing. They have free WiFi! Chilled taho and their soy mouse cheese are the best.
