After our mini website meet up, we all wanted something savory to eat. I haven’t been to Galle in awhile and if I do go there it was just a quick errand or two. Its nice to see that they’re finally revamping the place. Sorry I went off track! 😂 So we ended up here at Sizzlin’ Steak. You can also cross order with Teriyaki Boy in case you don’t like what they have on their menu. I ordered Beef Belly plain (Php 269) and make sure to spread out the meat on the iron plate so it will evenly cook. I liked how tender the beef was but lacked some seasoning but the sauce (forgot the name) gave it a little more taste. The serving time for my friends’ Keema order took longer than ours. Maybe they can address that since there were only a few tables occupied at the time we visited. I’d probably visit them again to try their other dishes. Worst service ever. Crew are picky on who they want to serve. Sat for a good 15 mins and no one even gave us a menu even after I asked for it twice. Ordered 4 meals at the same time. They served 1 and the other 3 was served 20 mins after. An oh, the soup was delayed too. WORST

Australian Marbled SteakThe meat is so tender (melt in your mouth feels) and well seasoned. You must try this!

Food: Pork steak (medium well) - The meat was perfectly cooked based on my preference. The meat is juicy and flavorful. You can get a little help from the steak sauce. The vegies on the side felt like you picked them out to your garden wash a little bit then straight to your plate. Feels like the plate wasn't hot enough to slightly cook the beans and cherry tomatoes.Service: i ordered a combo, the one with soup and iced tea. and they came a little later than my steak.

Every Sunday, after church, my wife and I pass by this restaurant. Recently, I noticed that they have a new entree called "Mi Gusta" which seemed appetizing. This morning, my wife relented to my pestering and agreed to have lunch here. Of course, I ordered the dish I so wanted to try while my wife had their bestseller, the Sizzling Beef Rice. When our orders came (which was quite fast) my wife noticed that the beef were not fully cooked yet. The waitress explained that the reason the plate was sizzling was for us to cook the served meat. She even showed us how to do it. My wife enjoyed what she ordered and I can only say to my entree: "Mi gusta!" ..I like! Very much! The prices were very reasonable - P219 and P249 respectively. We only had to add P20 for the Iced Tea (P40 if bottomless). The servers were very nice and courteous. The ambiance just right. The only reason why I did not give it a perfect 5 was because of their the chairs. They were rocking. A bit difficult to enjoy your food if you're moving to and fro.

Excellent woodsy interior fits peaceful ambiance as accompaniment for amazing meal. I had the Oyako rice which is chicken and scrambled eggs. The meal, I guess, was designed to look like a fried egg. The rice topped by fried corns served as the yolk. It was good but the egg lacked vibe and flavor. Generally, it was so-so. Not worth repeating but they had other meals crafted uniquely for Sizzling steak like Beef Pasta. However, most of the food in their menu are the usual shindig accompanied by sizzling plate dishes so no surprises there.

If am not mistaken it's their first week. It's interesting to know too they are part of the Max's group. The group that is by far the largest casual dining in the country. Pancake House, Teriyaki Boy, Dencios, Maple, Jamba Juice, Krispy Kreme, etc. I got their create your own sizzling. I got the Uma which is chicken with egg. It's quite disappointing though that the dish is almost tasteless without sauce. So if you put teriyaki, the whole dish will taste teriyaki sauce. They also didn't tell me I had to mix it up. The eggs burned up. So yeah it was a 'bitter' moment. I like the service though, very hands on.

Bit conflicted in posting this review, just because our server was extremely nice and courteous. But when it comes to the food, there can be no mistake, it wasn't stellar. Norwas it good. It was just blah. And if i've known that their Tapa would be small, burnt and bland pieces of meat, then I wouldn't even have thought to eat here.My friend's beef curry was atad bit better than my Tapa, but we could've had tastier dishes in carinderias or even just at home.Thank god, she gave me pieces of her beef curry, or I wouldn't have had the appetite to finish my Tapa let alone continue eating.Because my Tapa was like Tocino. Yes, it was damn sweet AND charred. I was hoping that it was true to the Filipino taste, as I was missing it very badly.I've been out of the country for a year and this was my first meal out.It was a big upset! For a P200 meal, it wasn't worth it. Not even the rice that was served with it.Although, I did love the egg, since sunny side up is my fave. :)Here's to wishing we could've just gone to the foodcourt and had some Sizzling Plate instead. Not entirely sure if I'll even give their other dishes a try.I feel it's just really a showy version of sizzling plates. And unless they amp up theirtaste, my opinion of them will remain unchanged.
