Don't let the simplicity of this place fool you for it's their dishes that truly pack a punch. If it's your first time here, make sure to order their best sellers, not saying that their other dishes are not up to par to those but it will set up more curiosity with what they have to offer. Their side dishes which whatever combination you may pick, complement the main dish really well. They have a "turo-turo" approach derived from carinderia places for their side dishes which adds to that homey vibes. It may require you to dig a bit deeper in your wallet but it sure is very worth it to eat here. For more pictures and reviews, please visit us at : bearslookingforfood.blogspot.com

My favorite go to place for instant good Chinese food. My usual orders are chicken rice, duck rice, and pork chop rice. I love the side dishes which you can order separately or with the rice plate. They have so far one of the best fried dumplings in town! The ambiance becomes cozy specially with the soft jazzy instrumentals with the moderately cold room. I feel at home here.

Shuin is a simple, no-frills Taiwanese restaurant known for their smoked chicken and duck. But my favorite is their fried gyoza. Best to come earlier than 9pm as they usually run out of food options, especially side dishes by then. Service is basic. You need to ask for tea or water. Have them repeat your order too as some staff forget (and not even apologetic).

If you're looking for a resto with a wow factor when it comes to ambience then Shuin would definitely not fall on your list. It has a typical school cafeteria style. However, if you're looking for a good quick bites which come with a cheap price range then Shuin is a must try. Porkchop bun. Their porkchop bun is so good and filling it will make you want to order one more even though you are already full. The porkchop filling is breaded and it has a sweet sauce compared to the porkchop with rice you can also order. Their kikiam is also good, cheap, and flavorful. A little bit of tip: add some chili sauce in your bun, it will brings out a nice sweet and spicy flavor contrast. Porkchop with rice. The serving is good for two if you're not that hungry. The porkchop here is not breaded but it still tastes the same - sweet. This is their bestselling food.

Another small neighborhood Chinese food eatery that can provide your daily lunch or dinner meals. There should be more of this kind of simple, unpretentious yet satisfying eatery in the metro. It's a small place with around 7 tables. When you enter you will immediately be drawn to the food display area at the left side of the resto where roast chicken, sometimes duck, sausages, and various Taiwanese-style veggie dishes are displayed. The popular dishes here are the meal combos which consists of a main viand such as the most popular Taiwanese breaded pork chops, or the roast chicken, or roast duck, plus a choice of two side dishes which can be from the many veggie dishes or an adobo egg, or a dish that looks like kikiam. I always go for the pork chops as it is superbly done while the chicken comes at a close second for me. For the side dishes, I always get the mustasa and ampalaya veggie dishes. These combos cost around P170 to P190. They are really filling as the portions are more than enough. They also have real good noodle soups and other kinds of soup here that can be shared by two people. I saw some soy drinks at their chiller but they have limited options for soda. They have coffee. They give complimentary tea. Parking is very limited so park at the side of the road if space is available.

Their porkchop is a laugh! At 120 pesos 1 chop, that is ok IF the porkchop is fat( in width) but is is so slim( imagine the width of a porkchop bought in the market and they cut it twice crosswise to make it into 3.yes,that is how THIN it is). The flavor is ok but the quality of the pork chop is not. I rate a low score for restaurants who SCRIMP on food portions. Advice:don't divide an ordinary porkchop into 3 more parts. I CANT SEE THE MEAT!! ONLY THE FRIED BREAD CRUMBS.

One word: Taiwanese porkchop!!I love their porkchop along with their selection of side dishes. Their duck rice is also good, my grandpapa always orders that one. However, their stinky tofu lacked flavor and "stink," it tasted like normal fried tofu to me which is a letdown. If it's not for the service, I would've given this rating a 5. We asked for water a couple of times before our food arrived, after more follow-ups, they were only able to serve it when we were almost finished with our food. Mainly because they didn't want to wash the cups....Nonetheless, the food is really good, disclaimer though, there are only few parking spaces in this area so it's not really convenient.

No frills Taiwanese food. The restaurant is small and the ambience is not great (think hole in the wall carenderia with aircon) but it makes the experience oddly charming. We love the dumplings. Extremely flavorful and very generous servings. The quality of the rice dishes may be inconsistent though. We remember them being better the last time we had some.
