It's out first time to try the Ramen and other food here at Shinjuku. So far, we got what we've expected and satisfy our craving. We ordered Shoyu Ramen, Fride Gyoza, Hiyayakko and Ebi Tempura. The Shoyu had the expectations yhat we are looking for in a Ramen; fresh noodles, tasty chashu and crunchy bochoy leaves. The Gyoza also gave us the authentic taste of Japanese Dimsum, as well as the fresh tofu of the hiyayakko.Though the Ebi was good, the breading was a little over for it that it masked the taste of the shrimp, leaving us to remove some of it.

Shinjuku will always be at the top of my list for authentic Japanese food. My faves here are the gyudon and chukadon. Both rice toppings, beef and vegetables respectively. I cook a lot at home, as in everyday and many dishes. It is here in shinjuku that I find a different layer of flavor in these dishes that I could not duplicate at home . Very pleasant and appetizing. Just go and try, compare , and you know what I'm saying. Comes in two sizes , I always order the smaller portion. I always order gyoza as side dish, love the filling , the wrapper is quite thick for me though.

It has a nice ambiance because it is not packed with people as said in many reviews here, parking is big. We tried Gekikara and Butakakuni. Both are yummy in their own different way. Gekikara has the right blend of spicy and salty. This is recommended of you are into something chili! Butakakuni is a bit of sweet and salty and has generous amount of meat. Regular serving portion is enough to satisfy a big appetite and for the price, it is worth it. However, I'm not a fan of their California Maki, nothing unique and it is not generous on ingredients. Hope they can improve their maki's though. :) overall, it was still a great experience especially that we ate during a rainy afternoon - a real fix to a cold weather! 😋

Since I can't find their branch at Q Plaza in Cainta. To be honest, I am not a fan of Japanese food. For tonight, we decided to have our dinner here. We ordered chahan (mixed rice), chicken teriyaki and gyudon. I like their rice because it was authentic Japanese rice. Chicken teriyaki was a little bit bland, like something is missing. Gyudon was good. I don't know why we didin't order california maki. Maybe because we were somehow full from merienda. Staffs were attentive. Place was nice too. But no wifi 😐

On a Friday night, this resto was eerily void of customer while the adjacent resto was packed of people. That should be a bad sign, isn't it? But since it is their parking lot that was vacant in the area, we settled with this resto. Turned out it was not a bad choice. I tried their beef curry - meat is soft and the curry sauce is sooo yummy. Will be coming back definitely when I needed a japanese dish fix.
