Got to try shi lin the other day, place was a bit cramped and warm, they should upgrade the AC. We ordered ala carte dishes, string beans with minced pork, steamed fish filled with soy sauce and diced chili chicken. The plain rice serving was generous. Took them about 20-25 minutes to serve, wait was long and we were getting impatient already. The table beside us got their orders first even though we arrived earlier than them. I guess when it comes to noodles and steamed bao/dumplings they serve faster. All our orders were okay except for the diced chicken. It was too dry and too chewy. Portion was very small too. Not worth the 380 pesos price tag if you ask me. Wouldn't recommend it. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be cooked like that, but it is not worth it.

The original xiao long bao was really good, although I cannot say the same for their crab fat and pork xbl. I liked how they give you a separate soy and vinegar dispenser, so you can customize your dip. I liked how spicy and garlicy the shrimp and pork wonton is. I was a bit unsatisfied with the serving size of the noodles with w/ double-boiled beef soup, although the flavor of the broth was really rich. Great quality of dumplings and remained consitent each time! The place may be a bit cramped and ac may not be cold enough during summer but they do have big fans to make the area cooler! New milk tea is also good!

Food is always great in Shi Lin (the most underrated xiao long bao) but this branch was so hot when we visited. To think it was nighttime when we visited. I loved the xiao long bao and the mantau.

So, I want to have something for late lunch and was craving for Xiao Long Bao.Upon entering, I was not assisted well. I was the one who approached the staff and said "can I have a table for one and be seated here?" But the staff is leading me to a hot spot, I said can I sit at my preferred spot?A bit annoyed but the guy server allowed me to sit near the fan. It was really hot inside the resto.I ordered Xiao Long Bao and Noodles with Double Boiled Chicken Soup. The Xiao Long Bao looks so sad. It has almost no broth inside (it is a bit similar to a Siomai sans the broth). While my Noodle Soup was terrible! The noodles was overcooked, the chicken is not easy to chew and has a bad taste.

Pretty decent food for the price. I still prefer DTF’s xiao long bao, however, theirs is better when you eat them at the restaurant while it’s hot from the kitchen. Otherwise, having them for takeout or delivery will disappoint you with the taste and experience. I like their beef noodles, it is comparable to the one’s I’ve had in Taipei. However, perhaps if they have the various sauces authentic Taiwanese restaurants have, then I guess their soups would be to die for.

My friend and I went here to finally try the famous Xiao Long Bao and it did not disappoint us. A very amazing experience for our first time. We also ordered beef brisket which is very big in serving and very tender beef. The price is affordable too.

At the price point and the location ShiLin is perfect when youre in need for some food sharing. PERFECT PLACE when you have family coming to the metro for a staycation. Dont forget to buy xia long bao
