Serye is the anagram of the last name "Reyes", the family who is known to make the best barbecued chicken in Manila. This specialty comes with their signature java rice and sweet peanut sauce. This dish is of course available at Serye. Although, when we visited, we picked desserts as we already had a heavy meal prior to our visit. We had the Turon ala mode and Halo Halo. The serving size was big enough 2 people. My companion and I should have settled for one dessert. Price per head 350 - 500.

The place itself is nice, friendly service. It's simply designed and meant for casual dining, great when out with family, a date, or with friends. The food isn't the best Filipino food I've had, though. The dishes I've tried were either bland (pinakbet), or overpowering saucy flavors and pure fat (binagoongan). Bibingka was too chewy and cold, while the rice was old.

Serye is a bit pricey, but for that, the resto gets to be less crowded which makes it a good setting for meetings or alone time with laptop. I find the place conducive when I needed some quite time to do some work on my laptop. They have reliable wifi. I haven't checked though if they have electric outlets (didn't get to check for I needed no power plugging on the two times I went there.)On both times, I ordered "suman at mangga" which I find delicious for it has latik and niyog. The mango during the first time I had it was sweet, but the second one was not much. Not sure if they changed supplier. I wish they could have the mango consistently the sweet kind.

Nothing stands out in my mind with Serye but their to-die-for chocolate cake! It is super moist and it melts in your mouth! Will definitely have to go back soon!

Serye express is so good. Also their one of a kind boneless crispy pata. ❤ ambiance is good but sort of a small place. However, all in all, food and service was good.

FOOD: I LOVE THEIR LUMPIA HERE SO MUCH!!! Me and my team mates decided to eat lunch here one day and of course, I ordered lumpia for us and it was soooo good! Even our manager liked it so much. The kare-kare was a bit oily but still great.AMBIANCE: Very quaint, like Spanish-era feels.SERVICE: They were okay.

One of the best crispy pata in my list.  Also liked the crispy binagoongang and crispy tilapia (not available anymore when I last checked). Their chicken is so savory together with the chips, one basket is not enough.Sans rival melts in your mouth goodness,.Very cozy and homey feeling every time we visit, hope they have more restaurant outlets.

Serye!!! Located smack in the middle of Quezon City Circle, Serye has been serving your favorite filipino dishes ever since the early 2000s or even 90s (as far as I can remember). Anyways, I was able to try again Serye a few days back for a lunch meeting. We had their famous kare kare and Serye express. The peanut sauce of their kare kare as shared by their representative, are made fresh on site which explains the very natural taste of peanuts which is not too sweet nor bland. Serving is good for 2 to 3 persons but in our case, 2 of us were able to finish the dish. Must visit for those craving really good traditional filipino cuisine.

We find it quite hard to locate this resto. But the place is very cozy with cute Christmas decors. Cool place and has a clean toilet. Servers are very accommodating. But when we dined here, there was also an event at their function space, i think additional server would be helpful during our visit. Lack in manpower.Food is great. I liked their karekare and boneless crispy pata. But boyfie likes Tres' karekare better and he finds the bagoong a bit salty.Tried this place after watching Food Wars Asia. Can't wait to try Little Quiapo's karekare to find out whose karekare tastes better. Haha!
