A bit small to accommodate large crowds, the food is substandard for a traditional "Filipino" food. Not a palatable feast but the price is cheap.

Ordered Kare-kare which the server said was good for sharing and surprisingly, only two chunks of beef were there with a few bunch of vegetables. Also ordered Sigarillas with Gata, vege has good crunch but I find the sauce a little too sweet. The Mango Salad wasn't so special either, had to request extra bagoong. My husband enjoyed the halo-halo. Nice ambiance, though, reminded me of an old restaurant called Ebun from Greenbelt.

One day at UP Town Center with Fambam we were looking for a place that served Filipino comfort food. We decided to try out Salu Salo - The Filipino Feast. There were beautiful shell chandeliers overhead and miniature wood carvings displayed on the shelves. The music was not in sync with the theme of the restaurant but somehow it seemed to work.We ordered Kare Kare Buntot ng Baka (320 PhP) and Tofu Sisig (120 PhP). The Tofu Sisig was okay, nothing special, really. It wouldn't be something I'd be ordering a second time around. I enjoyed the Kare Kare. It had the works. There was so much meat, we had to have it wrapped. I had my fill of their bottomless brewed Iced Tea. The staff was very attentive, even though my glass was still half full, they filled it up already. We also ordered Calamansi Juice for my mom, we requested it to be served hot and with no sugar. They followed that as well. Another one of their must try's is their Bulalong Baka with Mais at 380 PhP only. Will be trying that soon. Thanks, Salu Salo!

My beasties and I were craving for Pinoy food. I know there are a lot of places to eat but since we were at UP Town Center, I decided that we should dine at the very popular Salusalo at UP Town Center. The beasties and I rarely go out these days together since I have been so busy with a lot of work.  This is a SunDate for all of us.
