Searched for Ryu via website as we were looking for a Ramen place that is relatively cheap than those in the area. And viola, we were at Ryu.The place looks small and not promising from the inside. But when you enter, it's a quaint Japanese authentic restaurant. The interiors are minimal true to its Japanese brand. You can also see the chefs preparing your food from the glass window. However, it's really not the kind of place I will return to soon:1. The staff look untrained. When we asked for their best seller in the Ramen, the waitress had to excuse herself to ask a co-worker. That's really a no-no for me. Especially since ramen is supposed to be your prime product.2. The waitress spilled food on me. I was with a group of friends so I didn't bother making a scene. But trained staff should at least have come to me to offer tissue among other things. But it was my boyfriend who had to do it. No one offered help. Not even the manager who was standing right behind where I was seated.3. The food as average. Yes, it was good. But not the kind of good you would crave for. Ramen Nagi is still better for me. And the price difference was not too big.4. They have no smoking area. Or at least chairs at the waiting area.If you will still come there after this review, I would say try these dishes:1. Tantanmen Ramen2. Gyudon3. Curry Katsudon with Cheese

I was so hungry and mad before I got to the place due to my doctor's appointment that I almost cried when I tasted their ramen, it was so delicious and comforting. I ordered Karubi since I liked spicy food. Yes, my trip here is kind of stress eating but I can say that it was really worth it.

Stumbled onto this place because my friend and I had no idea where to eat. It was a very pleasant surprise to have found this little gem. The servers are very accomodating and friendly. Quick service and the food is great. Tastes like authentic jap food.

I love japanese food... RYU is near our place. I really want to eat there but afraid to enter as it has this "expensive vibe" for me. I'm on a tight budget mom and I can't afford to splurge much on expensive dinners and all. But due to stress, the other day, we finally went there with my siblings!!! As expected yes it's expensive, but worth to try... I ordered CHEESY TONKATSU CURRY worth Php 310. And I love it!!! Worth every peso!!! Though they have big service charge... We will definitely eat there again!!! I also taste their Ramen (since my sister ordered it) the soupIs DELICIOUSO!!! Happy tummy!!!

Ryu has been in the area for a few years already, but it didn't got my attention way before. By traveling on foot, looking for places to eat, I told myself, i'm gonna give it a try. (actually, the curry fever hit me...)Chicken and shrimp gyoza is my favorite partner for a ramen. It dissapointed me just as it arrived. The skin was translucent going opaque, in my mind, this is bad. The skin was thick to hold the meaty filling. Meat juice is present, but the skin killed the dish.Tantan Ramen is a spicy peanut base broth topped with slices chasyu and egg. The broth is okay considering its not as peanut butter 'nutty' as other competitors have. Too rich gives you the 'nakakaumay' feel going to disgust and gravy instead of a soup. Pork and Cheese curry, one of my favorite Japanese dish, has the ordinary thick curry gravy, on the peppery side. It lacks the 'curry' kick, i bet its out of the box kind of curry.
