It was a lazy Sunday morning and lunch was my next reason to move. Am glad website makes eating at home easier. Runner's Kitchen is in Katipunan. I am glad they can travel far enough to reach Ortigas where I live. I think they ran going to my place? If they did, even more amazing! Too bad the meals did not merit my liking. I mean it was okay. Nothing I'll remember days from now. I got two- The Quinoa Salad and the intriguing Black Rice Champorado. I swear I left half of its serving to waste. Now what was wrong with it? Salad first. It lacked dressing. The quinoa mixed was decent. I just think it was over cooked. The veggies were bland, it could use 150% more dressing to make it interesting. Champorado is a favorite growing up! This one was too bitter despite me placing the entire pack of muscovado sugar in it. The rice were too chuncky and it was like eating cooked peanuts. I am a fan of the concept. Healthy picks for runners. The ingenious 5k, 10k, 21k and a marathon special meals. That's smart. Maybe I just ordered the wrong meals that I really like. I will give you another chance soon. :)

With the explosion of the website generation, with restaurants sprouting like mushrooms here and there and international players coming in to our market like there's no tomorrow, we sometimes tend to prefer eating outside our homes. There's just a lot of choices out there and personally, I go giddy crazy when there's a new restaurant in the neighborhood! Sometimes I think about all the calories I consume and the junk that I let my body take and then I wish we have more restaurants offering healthier food and promote eating right.Who doesn't love the idea of eating healthy and eating right? Good thing there are a couple of restaurants that help me take the guilt out of eating. My go to will always be Earth Kitchen and then of course there's always Salad Stop.

Ordered quinoa superbowl and quinoa wrap. Food was too expensive for the taste and size. The CR toilet flush was broken ☹️ The resto would suit better in Makati area

Their staff are friendly and knows what dishes to recommend. I also love the simple yet rustic interiors. Food was delicious but nothing extraordinary. Prices were decent for an organic resto.

Despite its sort of challenging location (the far, trafficky end of T. Morato), and the lack of parking, this is a place worth returning to. It appeals successfully to niche audiences - craft beer and alternative coffee drinkers, organic food lovers, and all-around health nuts - but not just. It must a nice place to stop at after a bike trip or a run (can't say, I don't do either), and get a morning breakfast choice of shakes, as well celiac disease- and vegan-friendly items. The food is not intimidating. Later in the day, it is good for beer and wine drinkers and has a one-page selection of all-day food.  Design wise, I think they're ahead of the pack, with a (usable!) Pinarello racing bike displayed on the wall, upside down flashlights for lighting at the center communal table, and the mix-and-match chairs. Beware though: the skateboard-base stools are unstable.I only had one thing from their menu, about 40 minutes from closing on a rainy, stormy night: their black rice arroz caldo, topped with garlic bits and some cilantro, the black rice grain perfectly puffed paired with tender chicken breast, enough for two. My friend didn't find the color of it appetizing, but I knew what we were getting. The sweetness of the black rice combined well with the chicken and the stock. If the staff are antsy to get home, I hope next time they will not show it as much, and that they ask permission from their owners to go home early, and not pass on their stress to customers. It clashes with their image.

Get ready to taste and feel natural. Runners kitchen is a small resto at creekside that serves everything organic from soups, all day breakfast plates, sandwiches, and desserts. Very healthy and guilt free. We tried their spicy tuna quinoa roll (bestseller). Not that spicy, just right. We also tried their grass fed beef tapa and squash soup. Both were okay. As for dessert, we had their gluten free cheesecake 😍 We were able to enjoy it. Their ambience is really relaxing and servers were friendly. Price was a bit expensive but worth the visit. +++ pet friendly. Cola (my pet) was too comfortable she was able to sleep. 🐶

I have always been curious how organic food tastes. Never really have tried any especially since i'm a hater of veggies and I avoid them as much as I can. So when I had the opportunity to try Runner's Kitchen at Tomas Morato, I got really excited cause it'll be my first time!I was in awe when I entered the restaurant. The interior design and the details were very intricate. Sobrang detailed to the point na hindi ka mabobore tignan isa isa yung displays. It has a rustic theme to it. Wooden chairs and tables, fancy wine bottles, hanging flash lights, Typography Boards, Plants for Flatlays haha, NAME IT! 😊I've ordered the ff:🍛Beef Salpicao P395 (No Rice Yet)Organic Sirloin - Wilted Kale - Tomato Confit- Upon seeing the menu, Beef Salpicao automatically caught my attention. Pag may Beef Salpicao ang isang restaurant, it's like the first thing I would have to order. I just had to try it.- The beef was so tender. And surprisingly, I was able to eat the Kale! Thanks to the garlic na talagang nagpalasa sa over all taste ng beef. The saltiness is just right and is the perfect match for the rice. 🍚 Additional Starch - Black Rice P50- I'm a HUGE RICE CONSUMER. As in I can eat few ulam as long as marami yung rice. So I got a little afraid cause I ordered a Black Rice which I know walang lasa and usually makunat and might no be able to enjoy it. But apparently their Black Rice is so delicious. It's cooked with garlic, sobrang malasa talaga. I enjoyed it and nabitin pa ako.🍹Malusog P160Spinach - Oats - Banana - Cashew Milk- All I can say is, I made the right choice. SULIT NA SULIT. From the serving/ size, to the taste. ALL WORTH IT! Spinach is probably the only vege I can eat if pinilit ako so I ordered it instead as a drink. I got really curious on how it would turn out and true enough, it tasted so GOOD I want to make one at home. Sobrang sakto lang yung sweetness, mararamdaman mo pa ung tiny bits of leaves. The banana complimented the overall taste and the cashew milk just made everything balanced. ANG SARAP TALAGA.All photos taken on my Iphone. The place is OBVIOUSLY SO INSTAGRAMMABLE!

I woke up one day and want to eat healthy so during my lunch break I went to Runner's Kitchen. The ambiance is quiet and cozy. I love their interior decoration that shouts "organic"I ordered their 365breakfast and Matatag for drinks. For the 365 breakfast, the black garlic rice has salty barbecue taste, salad is refreshing and has sweet taste coming from the mango and sour gingery taste. Chicken Tocino is tender and sweet. The native boar sausage is has a sweet and sour taste and the texture is like steakMatatag on the other hand tastes sour cucumberWill go back to Runner's Kitchen some other time to try their other dishes

Been here twice when I was on a special diet. I appreciate the food options that they have. They were the only restaurant that I could order from when I was on a low iodine diet. The taste of the food wasn't bad but I found the serving size quite small considering the price you pay for the food.

They're using canola oil - read more about it here:just put http://   draxe.com/canola-oil-gmPlus the price does not include VAT and the meals are literally floating in canola oils.I won't probably eat and recommend eating here unless they change how they cook food.
