We ordered Rufo's best-selling beef tapa, boneless bangus, and tokwa't baboy for dinner tonight through website Online Delivery.I have never had Rufo's beef tapa before, so I was a bit surprised that my meal was only 50% beef and 50% brown sauce. It looks unappetizing but the flavor was ok, though nothing special. A bit of a rip-off when you consider the price charged. The boneless bangus was ok, but again nothing special. The tokwa't baboy was the worst. I think the meat had just turned but they still served it anyway. Not good.

02152016First time visit. We are so over with mcdo and jollibee, so we tried something new, we made few walks to find an open place at that early morning, we think of eating good tapa or any filipino breakfast dish to soothe the taste of fast food. So we ended up here. Good customer service, great ambiance. Danggit and Tokwa't baboy is good. Much better than fast foods lol.

If you're a big fan of Tapsilog and other classic Filipino "silog" (sinangag a.k.a. garlic rice + itlog a.k.a. sunny side up egg) breakfast, Rufo's seem to be a good choice. Located at the ground floor of Telus building at the Araneta center, it caters to a large and very diverse audience in the area. I tried the danggit with a reasonable price of Php 96, and added Php 17 for a sunny side up. I found the danggit too salty though, so that might be my first and last try. Service is ok but the crowd is a little bit too rowdy for me. They have posters too of beer buckets and pulutan which might convert the place into a drinking place at night until the wee hours of the morning. For its price, you get what you pay for. It was ok.

Rufo's Famous Tapa is one of our go-to places whenever we are hungry, especially at times when we are avoing fastfood meals. My fave dish is Longganisa. For me, it's the best version I have tasted, including home-cooked ones. There's just something different with the way they cook and prepare theirs. Meals are priced around PHP 75 to PHP 120 (solo). Aside from breakfast and lunch, it's also a place where you can chill with a beer. Major plus is that they are open 24/7. So cravings get to be served any time of the day.

Ordered Sisig and rice today since Liempo was unavailable. The rice is malapit na mapanis. Crew didn't even apologize and just served a newly cooked rice. The sisig has a lot of onions. It looks like a pork and onion sisig.

I wish I could leave a better review here and I wish I could tell you about the food taste but that is not how it goes at the Rufo's in Cubao.I went there the other late afternoon. Sat outside and waited to be noticed and greeted by the staff to order and drink then make a food order. The Staff noticed me but did not come to greet me at all. Then I waved to them and ushered them with a friendly smile. I was just ignored as they all giggled together and played with their cell phones. It was a disgrace . They should all be fired. The management are the ones to blame because they clearly don't offer training or supervision .I got up and left after ten minutes of waiting.

Rufos series of reviews. I've been to a lot of rufos lately, talagang the best yung tapa nila which is across all branches naman. So let's go with other food items, service, and place.Okay tong branch na to. Spaceous and meron din silang tables outside the resto. Very accessible and attentive ang mga servers. Must tries: Tapa. Yun lang ata. Hahaha. I tried their embutido once, never again! Try nyo din sisig, masarap din. Tapa lang talaga ang nasasarapan ako sa rufos (kahit medyo masarsa). If gusto mo maging adventurous, try mo ibang menu items. Take the risk! LolThis is one of the Rufos places na malinis (some are not so). Kaya naman gusto ko dito sa branch na to.

Good thing this is still open, we ate here at around 12 AM after finishing Breakout Manila at Katipunan. They were short in staff so our orders weren’t served rightaway. We waited for about 30 mins before our orders were completed.

Tried their so-called "Famous Tapa" - it tasted like Diabetes with rice! In fairness, the garlic rice is superb - can't get more garlicky than that. The fried egg is done "Over Well" so I didn't like that either.  So the picture above showing a sunny-side egg going with the dish is a false advertisement - at least for the one that they served me.The beef tapa is tender - however the sauce that drowned it was really sweet. It seems like they were trying to do Beef Teppanyaki/Teriyaki but added too much sugar and lessened the spices.   Actually, this is like bistek Tagalog but with sweetened and thickened sauce sans the onions.  The added "atsara" was a nice touch but it was too little to actually help with the richness. I also ordered a soda - I regretted ordering it once I tasted the dish knowing I'll already be loading up on sugar but the drink never came - they forgot. So when I was paying the cashier said the amount of the tapa and soda and I pointed out no soda was served and pointed at my table. Told her to just deduct it as I am about to leave anyway.  (And I got away without gulping down more sugar thankfully!)In consolation - the staff is friendly.  So for the taste, the price and service, I would rather eat someplace else - there are much better and cheaper alternatives. If the eggs are done "Over easy", and if you can optionally opt-out for the sauce and/or replace it with a vinegar condiment instead - then just "maybe". Don't get me wrong, I like spin-offs and variations to a dish.  However, as mentioned, Rufo's so-called "Tapa" isn't tapa anymore.   Fried beef drowned in a very sweet and savoury gravy isn't for the faint-hearted and diabetics.  Not that I'm faint-hearted and a diabetic -  I'll stick with the conventional "tapsihans" as Rufo's just tasted so wrong.

I was looking for a place to have a decent breakfast meal when I happen to pass by this one. I ordered Pork Sinigang and it was very disappointing. The pork was hard as stone and the soup was very bland and stale. The rice even tasted like a leftover. It was so bad that I couldn't even finish my meal. A definite waste of money.
