Very delicious and very quiet (somewhat old school) Nice place to bring guests. We tried a lot of fried food and a lot of gata based vegetables but both were delicious. A little hidden in Tomas Morato, you have to go to the scout streets to find it.

We celebrated a private event in one of their function rooms and they gave us reasonable set menu for a buffet style feast. The staff members were very efficient, they made sure that all of our requests were granted. They allowed us to do our own setup and they also gave a basic sound system setup for free.

I've been wanting to try this place for a really long time so I was pretty ecstatic when we got to eat here. The place is really nice and it's good for big family gatherings. The food was soooo good. It's no wonder this place is highly recommended by a lot of people. The pansit puti is so good. I love how it isn't so salty. It's got a nice simple flavor to it. My personal favorite was the chicken relleno. It's so good. Huhu. The chicken was juicy and it was just stuffed with all the right stuff. I really loved it. The bicol express was also good. This is a great place to take balikbayan people to. 🤗🤗

This was the place where my family and my fiance’s family first met. We had a delightful lunch in one of their private rooms. Serving sizes were enough for the family and they had a delicate presentation of their dishes that looked so appetizing.

Went here yesternight. The place is cozy and perfect for a dinner with family or a little catching up with friends. We had Lechon Kawali Sisig, Kare-kare, Chicken with Tamarind Sauce, Flying Tilapia, Penne Carbonara with Vigan Longganisa and Lola Felisa's Crispy All-Vegetable Canton. Let's start with the Lechon Kawali Sisig, I am not really fond of eating something with mayo but I find myself enjoying this dish and I loved how crispy it was and the presentation was very cute, they came in three little scoops with little sunny side up on top. Kare-kare tasted too bland and the bagoong was not even helping, we literally just tasted it and that's it, not satisfied. Chicken with Tamarind Sauce was just okay, tasted like your regular roasted chicken with the sauce that they called tamarind sauce in which I can't find the Tamarind taste. The Flying Tilapia's presentation though, was so cool they get to serve it differently with the fish looking like it is flying, it is your normal fried tilapia with special sauce, which was good. The Penne Carbonara with Vigan Longganisa was so good, if you're tired of your regular Carbonara with bacon, I would recommend this one. Lola Felisa's Crispy All-Vegetable Canton, yes, you guessed that one right, the canton was crispy and just good. We finished everything except for the Kare-kare.Now, lets get down to the desserts. We had Leche Flan, Mini Sans Rival, Salted Caramel Ice Cream and Buko Pandan. We were soooo disappointed with everything that we had for dessert. Leche Flan tasted too bland for a dessert, it didn't even tasted like it is a leche flan, maybe like a pudding, or even gelatin. Sans rival tasted like you're just eating a biscuit shaped like a mini cake. The salted caramel ice cream tasted good but with just one scoop it is quite pricey. Buko Pandan tasted like, something's missing.Over all, we enjoyed our experience and their dishes were good, maybe we'll just go and skip the dessert part next time.

Soldier, diplomat, statesman and journalist Carlos P. Romulo loomed large in Philippine history and more so in the lives of his descendants.  Today, they operate a restaurant chain named after him that recalls the highlights of his prestigious career through photographs.  Romulo Cafe also serves heirloom dishes which include those served by his wife, Virginia, during their Philippine embassy dinners in the United States where he marshaled for full Philippine independence.

This review is solely based on the arrogant reception that we got.Went there 6pm today and the person whom I talked with at the entrance said that they are fully booked. This is fine but he had that overbearing tone and simply stared at us afterwards. No suggestions or options given after. It was like he wanted us to just go away.I then asked what do we do now? - go away, wait for a while for a chance of a table opening up? This person replied to just go to some other restaurant nearby which name I already forgot. Note that Romulo Cafe is not a fine dining and reservation only restaurant. This is not how customers should be welcomed. Found out later that the guy we talked with is the manager of the branch after asking another employee since it was easy to identify him. (he was the only gay person at the entrance area)To the owner/s of Romulo Cafe, you should teach your employees to be hospitable to guests since this is just disappointing.

Me and my wife had dinner at the Tomas Morato Branch, intrigued by the name of the cafe. The restaurant takes pains to revitalize the preferences of the late General Romulo: lots of old pictures (though I did not find his picture with Beth Day Romulo?, or the late President Marcos and Imelda?). However, the striking memento is the checkered, black and white diplomat's floor tile which I believe is from his Makati residence....Back to the food: I ordered the six tiny empanaditas, clear clam soup, beef caldereta, laing, deep fried tilapia, adobo rice and the leche flan. Taste was well-balanced, although the servings were not large but sufficient for one person. Service was courteous.

Decided to have dinner here as I've been reading a lot of reviews on their food. Tried Boneless Crispy Pata Binagoongan, Gising-Gising, and Baby Pusit in Garlic. The crispy pata in the binagoongan dish was cooked perfectly, I just wish they served it with more bagoong as we had to eat the last pieces of crispy pata without any sauce. The Gising-Gising was nothing out of the ordinary, while the Baby Pusit was so tender. Keep in mind though that the pusit doesn't come in a big plate, so don't expect to share it with more than 2 people.Interiors are nice, the restroom really needs some cleaning, and I just hope the servers were a little more friendly.
