Amongst the many big restaurants and new looking chains stands out this student favorite food from UP. Their branch in UP town center is unassuming, and does the carinderia style set up. Sisig silog An average amount of meat served with a raw egg in the middle on a sizzling plate. For 99, its pretty okay. Tapsilog This is their specialty, shredded pieces of beef cooked in a sweet garlic soy sauce then placed on top of rice and a perfectly cooked egg. I thought this was too sweet, but If I were in college I think I'd enjoy it more as its something that reminds me what I would eat when I used to dorm. MongoThis was thick and flavorful. It's nice of UP town center to bring restaurants like Rodic's to a venue with a bigger audience so more people can try and for former students to return to their favorite comfort food.

Been here last night and saka ko lang nalaman na not all the menu that theyve posted is available, parang carinderia style pala, so if naubos wala na. We were craving for kare kare and gusto sana namin itry dito pero waley na daw ubos na daw!!! Anu daw? Hahaha.. so we tried their caldereta and tapa and it was just so-so.

I have been a loyal customer of their original branch since 2007. When they opened this branch, I love how they maintained the carinderia-style. The ambiance and the food remains to feel homey and nostalgic. My typical order consists of either the Kaldereta or the Tapsi. My husband also loves their Beef with Mushroom.Don't go here if you're looking to order from the table. But if you're looking for good, home-style food, drop by Rodic's Diner in UP Town Center.

They’ve set the bar high with their best tasting tapa. Nothing beats rodic’s yet based on my taste. Kudos to uptc branch for having the same taste as the one in up main. 👍😂

The food in rodic's is awesome. But the place sucks if you compare it with McDonald's that is cheaper. The ulam (viand) is to small. Not good if you're hungry because there is so many rice with a little ulam (viand)

The food: So far I've only tried two of their products. Tapsilog and Beefsteak. Both are good, but nothing special about it. But these kind of food are my kind of food so I still liked it. Staff were fine, just that they need to move faster to clean up the table because there were too many dirty tables when we visited. They also need to expand their store, it's not spacious enough for the number of their customers.

Rodics at UPTC is probably one of the very few affordable eats in the mall. This always makes me nostalgic, as Rodics tapsilog had always been an affordable treat in college. The anise-y shredded beef tapa is now my benchmark against other beep tapas. I love their other dishes as well. The pork steak isn't served daily but when they do, I always order it alongside the tapa. It's salty with a sour bite from calamansi (not vinegar). The caldereta is a little different from most, probably because it's almost curry-like and closer to being a rendang than our tomato-ey kaldereta. Rodics isn't fancy and don't expect a smiling server. You line up at the bain marie, counter, point to your preferred dish and pay at the counter. It's a canteen set up but who says it can't be delicious as well - which is why Rodics has been around for more than half a century.

The ambiance is relaxed and the service was good. This branch of rodic's does not disappoint. Rodic'a has always been my go-to for my tapa cravings. The tapa here is still as good as the main's. Taste is good for the price. Will definitely come back.

Number of times visited: more than 2xParking: Mall ParkingFood: Their no-frills tapa is a sure winner in my book. The tapa is nicely flavored and it comes with an egg and fried rice. I don’t know if it’s just me but the tapa in UP Shopping Center is cooked better? Nonetheless, I still like the Rodic’s tapa in UP Town Center. Price: Also a winner! Affordable. Service: The attendants are quite passive. We arrived one time and they didn’t even assist us in asking around the diners if the seats beside them were taken. I would have understood if they were busy but some of the attendants were not even doing anything that time and they simply watched us from the side. Place: They have tried to maximize the place so it’s quite crowded. Repeat: Yes! For the affordable tapa.

My first. Finally! I got to try the famous tapsilog. I love the food. Service was fast. I initially craved for pro sinigang but was not available. Maybe next time. Guys, you should try it here!
