Dining outside has become very common in our contemporary periods. An average Filipino may dine outside at least once a week, be it a fastfood or proper restaurant. I am always in search of a good place to eat at. For me, dining should always be a pleasant experience for all of our five senses. Luckily, we chanced upon this newly opened restaurant in Congressional Avenue Extension called, REST O’ RAMA.

A fairly new restaurant near our place. Went here to have brunch. Nice interiors, vintage decors,Kettle lights and comfy seat. Lots of choices in their menu. We ordered:Steak a la Pobre - 3.0butterflied beef tenderloin topped with tonscofcchopped fried garlic :), gravy, bread and slaw. Too much garlic, as in too much :) -We tried to order mash potato instead of rice or bread but unfortunately they dont serve mash potato which is very unusual for a resto especially they serve steak. For the bread, were expexting it to be atleast a dinner roll but instead it was an ordinary white tasty bread (not Gardenia) slightly herbed, buttered and toasted. Slaw- slightly pickled cabbage, grated carrots and onion (subpar). Gravy - okCountry Style Fried chicken - 2.5 2 thin slices of chicken fillet. Breaded and fried. Thd chicken is tender, served with rice, gravy and slaw. Fish and chips - 3.0surprisingly good, tender and tasty. They served it woth homemade potato chips and slaw. I was expecting the chips to be like lays chips but to my surprise it was homemade. Unfortunately the chips was served oily. The tartar sauce in my opinion was not good. I can say they used cheap mayo. My daughter ordered extra garlic rice. Their garlic rice - 60% rice 40% garlic!!! :)Iced tea - 3.5 this one is good. Tamarind ice tea served in a mason jar.Complimentary soup - 2.0 corn soup - it was like a broth not thick. Ok Overall experience is ok. Honestly we didnt really enjoy the food. Except for my daughter who enjoyed her fish fillet. My daughter didnt finish her fish and chips she only ate half a quarter of her plate so we decided to bring it home. To our surprise, the leftover was not the same portion i asked to be bagged!Serving was ok, price is fair. Our server was polite and friendly. Dont forget to bring mints or breath spray because they put generous servings of garlic on some of their dishes! Any thoughts of going back?? Hmmmmm. Not sure. maybe.

Restaurant was totally worth it. Service is good. Tried the fillet mignon, korean beef stew, chicken mozzarella, grilled caesar salad, gambas, and the cheese burger. Price is very affordable. Ambiance is good. Perfect location near our house.

This place was the site of my catch-up Christmas dinner with friends last Tuesday!!!😍😍😍 It was pouring outside, but it didn't stop us from meeting up and laughing to our heart's content... Since the weather was pretty bad, it limited our choices for dinner... So we ended up here, somewhere new for the three of us... One of our friend's (who lives in the area) actually said this place was pretty nice and serves good comfort food... We trust our friends, so dinner at Rest O' Rama it is!!!👍 Comfort food during the storm please!😁When I first entered, my first thought was-- the place is so cute!!! I can't believe it was our first time there!!! It had a sort of ranch feel to me, but in a girly way, not a rough and tumble kind of way... The walls were made of light wood, keeping the place very bright and easy on the eyes... The chairs were upholstered in different pastel colors and they were pretty comfortable too!😊 They had cute knick knacks all over, giving the place a kitschy touch and a country feel... My friends and I really liked it! It felt homey, like a sort of diner and ranch in one! Nice ambience!😍 Their comfort rooms are sooooo cute too!!!💜 Check it out!😊Anyway, we were hopeful for dinner... We ordered the beef nachos for an appetizer... It was a generous serving! The nachos didn't become soggy because the cheese sauce, beef, and salsa were served in different containers... You can pile it on as much as you want... But it left you with the option to be as generous with the toppjngs as you want... Their toppings are also avaible to order on its' own, just in case the initial serving was bitin... For my main course, I got the Salpicao for P175... It came with soup, just a simple cream of corn soup which was just okay... The Salpicao was very good! Beef tenderloin cubes topped with garlic bits and gravy and rice on the side... The beef was very juicy, tender, delicious and flavorful! Super sulit!👍 It took all of my will power not to finish the cup of rice!😅 I would recommend this dish to first timers at this place...My friend ordered the pastrami sandwich, which also came with the soup... It was a whole pastrami sandwich with potato chips, a pretty big sandwich as you can see!💜 It was apparently good according to my friend, sulit for P150...My other friend order the chicken cheese cutlet, served with soup and rice... It was good, but it would have been better if served with mashed potatoes according to her... It was not dry and the serving was again generous... We all liked our orders!👍Can we rave about the tamarind iced tea as well? Served in a mason jar, it really did taste like sampaloc! So it had a sour note when you drink it... Very refreshing! Try it!!!!👍👍👍Of note is that the service here is excellent... All of them were polite, well-trained, well-versed on their menu, accomodating and courteous! They would ask your permission before removing a plate from the table, explain the dishes as they were being set down on the table, smile as you ask them questions... They were very snappy, as our glasses were never empty! We actually left after our meal to transfer to Starbucks... We used our friends' pick-up while I left my car there... We went back at around 1230am and the super nice and OC guard was still there... Oh my gosh, we really gave a big tip for him as his actions were much appreciated... They have a big parking space too, so that you wouldn't end up parking on the side of the road... I really enjoyed our dinner here and I'm looking forward to our next visit!!! Reasonable prices, excellent service, comfortable ambience, good food and ample dining space... I really think more people should visit this place! Just past Brewing Point along Congressional!!!💖💖💖P.S. To the owner, if ever you are able to read this... Please make the sign of the restaurant a bit more obvious and with lights!!! This place is pretty easy to miss if you drive past it... Especially at night!😊 People should be able to see the place and enjoy it like we did!😃

Cute place, affordable food, nice ambience. The crew were friendly and welcoming. I treated my family to this place on a Sunday. I was kinda shocked for there were only two other customers. For appetizers, we ordered nachos and pigs in a blanket. The nachos were similar to the ones sold in a supermarket - which lack flavor, the pigs in a blanket were greasy, as expected 😂.For the main course, we ordered Steak ala Pobre, Filet Mignon, Gambas, and Korean beef stew. The steaks were fine to me, they were a bit thin, suiting their prices. The beef stew was quite flavorful and spicy, but the serving was small and "nakakabitin". The Gambas were nicely prepared and delicious. Overall, my family had a nice experience. The highlight for me was the cute place (including the vintage bathroom 😜).
