This is just an alright restaurant. The store ambience is also neat and the staff are pretty well trained. But my yaya cooks better than their cook, so I’d rather just stay at home and eat than line up here.

It's been years since we've last tried Recipes, so we decided to have our lunch here today.  Ordered the following dishes:- Chicken Sotanghon Soup- General's Chicken- Lechon Kawali w/ Kangkong- Crispy TilapiaThe General's Chicken, which was a family favorite, is still THE bomb! I haven't met anyone yet who didn't like this dish.  What made it more enjoyable is we got it on promo (Buy 1 Take 1 c/o Booky). So we had the 2nd order wrapped up for dinner.  Score, right?!Another fave is their sotanghon soup.  It's a welcome respite from all the fried dishes we ordered.  😂  The broth is subtly flavored, just enough to pique one's appetite.  I also liked that it had a variety of veggies (incl wood ear mushrooms), but would be better if there are more of the chicken slices. As for the other 2 dishes, I find them just about average.  The crispy tilapia, unfortunately, is no longer that crispy when it was served to us.  It's also a bit bland, but eat it with the accompanying dipping sauce and it's all good.Their gising-gising is also one of their bestsellers, and was a constant in our orders.  But since my mother can now cook a mean version of this dish (thanks to our many meals here), we opted out this time.Service is prompt.  I also didn't notice any additional charge on takeouts (they used microwaveable container and sturdy paperbag) so plus points for that.

This laidback little resto was once open in Fairview Terraces. My family and I got to eat here about twice. Sadly, it closed without much fanfare. But thanks to a branch in UPTC and a Booky B1G1 promo, I got to have a taste of my favorite dish here once more. Bonus: I got Paul, my BF, to eat veggies (eggplant). When we got to the place we were attended to promptly. Staff were accommodating and even let me and Paul both sit on the couch instead of facing each other. We got our bowls of General's Chicken, and man that smell was good. Nakakagutom just remembering it. Surprisingly though it was just ulam and not the rice toppings I remembered. So we ordered some seafood rice because I looooove seafood. I was a bit worried about how the flavors would jive but they did! The spices of the sauce, the hints of bagoong, the flavorful chicken and tender bits of squid made for a very delicious and filling meal. It was so good I didn't want it to end despite being stuffed! That taste and texture was brilliant. Now, I wonder when Paul will avail of that coupon...

Nothing great with their food (same with their branch near tomas morato) and small servings 🙁 will definitely not go back anymore. Ironically, “Recipes” needs to improve their recipes 😔

Service is quick. Food was served to our table in less than 15 minutes. Servers are also very attentive (my husband and baby went outside and I turned around to look for em, and all the servers thought I was looking at them - lol! Sorry guys) Love General's chicken. And it was le beau's first time here and he said it's good :)

This is pne of our favorites, always with my family. Their specialty is the gising gising. Affordable price of foods and with accommodating staff.

This is a rare one. One of the best Pinoy restaurants in the Metro! Good prices and surprisingly good food! Unpretentious and traditional, true to Filipino cuisine.

One of those Filipino restaurants that’s simple, reasonably priced and delicious! You’d surely enjoy Recipes’ dishes. I personally like their General Chicken, Gising Gising and Crispy Tilapia, my order everytime I’m at Recipes, whichever branch it may be.
