Ate here with the family on Mother's Day as all other restos in the mall are super full. First opportunity area--no one was in the entrance to welcome customers or inform us that we had to wait to be seated. To be fair though, there was only about 4 folks scrambling around in a full resto. Second turnoff--we had to wait for literally an hour to be seated. What's worse is we had to do this while standing up outside the resto, which is not even inside the airconditioned mall. My mom had leg cramps after. Way to go, Recipes. Next time, please provide chairs to your customers who are willing to (or have no other choice but to) wait. Good thing we were already allowed to order while waiting, so when we were seated, we waited only for a few minutes for our orders to be served. Food was good (especially the laing. The rice meal I ordered was also sulit--only paid around 180 for a chicken teriyaki meal with veggies, rice and iced tea), but not good enough to line up for an hour for. While standing up. Under the humid Manila summer sun. The food was cheap enough when ordered individually but holistically, was a bit on the expensive side--my dad and brother's "busog level" wasn't equivalent to the amount we paid for. Customer service was also fine--I've had better, but I've also experienced much worse. Overall, still worth another visit though, but most likely not on a similar kind of day.

General's chicken is really worth coming back! I love their minimalist interior with yellow couch. White plates and paper mats and silverwares. The Main EventVege Kare-KareGeneral's ChickenFish fillet in curryGarlic ricePlain riceWe were so full after finishing everything! Even had extra rice. The serving size was proportion to the price and was worth every cents.Would love to dine here again!

Simple and no frills. We ordered adobo flakes, Korean barbecue and pancit canton. Adobo flakes seemed to have too much extender for the crisp while both Korean barbecue and pancit canton were ok dishes. Will give it another try with the more favored dishes.
