Their chickens were tasty and big. The ambiance is eye-candy and the names of their dishes and flavors are very witty. But the place is hot I think the place is not air-conditioned

Here's a place you don't come across often when reading about the food places you'll find in the famous Maginhawa St. The place is a tad small, but it contrasts with their big food serving. If you're fond of Filipino movies, this is a place for you to reminisce. We didn't plan to eat here originally, we only wanted to look for The Iscreamist and coincedentally, this place is right beside it. (After meal dessert perks!) Unfortunately, The Iscreamist was still closed then so we went here instead to eat our early lunch here. My boyfriend tried out the love team platter and a burger for my sister. Te love team consisted of 4 chicken, two different flavors of your choice and a huge heap of mash potatoes on the side. I regretted ordering a bowl of rice because the mash potatoes was a perfect combo with the chicken and it made me full instantly. They also had this promo then that if you reach P500 (I think) at a certain time (11am-1pm most likely) you get a free banana split. We got one but we didn't finish it since we still wanted to try the Iscreamist next door. If you want to try out a new place in Maginhawa St, a place you haven't read about before but want to try out of curiousity, this is your place.

An entertaining place to have a meal. The place is small but packed with interesting designs. The waitress is nice and attentive.Their chicken is big and has a lot of flavor. Their combo meals are worth the money. Their milkshakes are good. The peanut butter one was unique. Good place to eat on a budget.

Nice concept. Filipinos who love Filipino movies would love it here. Food is very ordinary though. Nothing special. Small space and very limited sitting.

Another Maginhawa foodscapade. Found this small and artsy place near Iscreamist. They serve flavored chicken, burgers and cold drinks. The place carries a showbiz theme that's bright and fun. Try their best selling chicken (garlic, honey and sweet&spicy) it comes with a cup of rice, coleslaw and mashed potatoes. I also tried a chicken sandwich having pineapples instead of bread. Affordably good!

Rated SPJ is definitely enjoyable to eat at. The Showbiz theme of the place is very entertaining, they put out "hugot" lines from famous Filipino movies, comical food puns on Pinoy Superheroes and even their entire menu features dishes with witty names.I appreciated how the service crew were very nice to us. They're friendly and accomodating. They suggested their all-time best-sellers, gave us discounts on their beverages and even served us "Ang Manok at Ang Lihim na Hardin" or the Chicken Garden Salad on the house because of a primetime promo.Their Bidang Flavored Fried Chickens were a hit. We opt for That's Entertainment Meal which includes 10 pcs. of Chicken with 5 flavors of your choice, 5 servings of rice and sides. I chose the Honey Teen Star which is really good. I like how they make it to be that crispy and juicy at the same time. My friends ordered, Garlic Matinee Idol, Sweet and Spicy Bold Star and Super Mega Grandslam Spicy Star. All of which are delicious although they could improve on the level of spiciness especially with the Super Mega and their mashed potatoes were a bit cold when served.

Location: 0.5 points. Very accessible via CP Garcia and Maginhawa. Parking might be a problem.Pricing: 1 point. Very affordable for the student on a budget. Php 50 to 200 rangeAmbiance: 0.5 points. A Place full of puns and wisecrack quotes, it is easily a likable place. However, it could consider expansion.Service: 1 point. Warm and happy greetings from entry to egress.Quality and quantity: 1 point. For the burger, the presentation was mouth watering as the buns, burger, veggies and pineapples tower the plate. Sided with chicken balls and fries, the meal can easily be split for two people, while filling each stomach.Overall, 4/5Good eats.

I can say one of the best chicken I've ever tasted. I love the mashed potato. No "umay" factor. Sad part there's no more fries. Everything is perfect except for the fact that there's isn't enough exhaust for the smoke coming from the kitchen that's why when we left the place, me and my partner smells like chicken but above that, the food was superb. Ambiance is great and there's lots of eye candy enough to enjoy while waiting for the food to serve. Kudos!

I like their showbiz-inspired interiors and menu. Had a good laugh at their spaghetti pababa and pataas! Friendly servers too. Just wish it was cleaner when we came, it felt like they weren't prepared to entertain guests at that time.

2 thumbs up for the food, grabe. Best chicken in town! I liked everything about this place, especially the "lights camera kain na". Hope you guys can move into a bigger place to accomodate large group of people.
