"PUTOK BATOK" is real!Porkfolio is known for its Oven-baked Pork Bellies or Lechon Kawali. That guilty pleasure in enjoying cholesterol is up. This is my first review in website so pardon me if I sounded too overwhelmed. I've been searching for a nice place to celebrate our monthsary. I, personally, am not a fan of cafés, so I decided to bring her to a foodpark near her place. (She lives at Philand drive)Since I'm so excited to try this, I already know what to eat because I already checked their menu here at website. Anyway, we ordered Kare-kare Crackling (165), Litson Crackling Bits (Sisig) (165) and their best-seller, Quesadilla Overload (160). We added 15 pesos on the rice meals for a glass of iced tea. *note: The pricelist here is no longer updated. As we walked near to the counter, I noticed that she's very welcoming and she smiled at us genuinely. Orders are taken and repeated for verification - this is one of the things that I really check every time I eat or order somewhere - for them to check if they heard my orders correctly. In about 5-7 minutes, it's all set and ready to be picked up. The quesadilla is just right. Maybe because I'm looking for more cheese. However, the servings can cater even up to 3 people, and its lack of cheese is somewhat negligible. About the Sisig, it may not be the best sisig I've ever had, but definitely a different and unique one. Perfect balance of all flavors, has a little spicy kick - but not too spicy, even the non-chili fans can tolerate it. The egg on top is not overcooked, nor wet. I think you could request how you wanted the egg to be done. Lastly, the Kare-kare Cracklings. I should say it's delicious but this is not my type of Kare-kare. I'm used to my mom's Kare-kare that's not so deep in taste but somehow salty, wherein Porkfolio's version is kinda sweet. I even feel like eating Lily's peanut butter, and the bagoong is also sweet. (Well, it's just me coz I don't like sweet dishes that much). The Pork Belly's the best. Consistent crunch on the 'balat' and you know it's fresh. The pork is really good. Hindi mataba, hindi makunat, hindi nakakaumay. It's tender and flavorful as well. In conclusion, it's a two-thumbs-up for us. We even took 3 quesadilla slices home because we're really full. Cost-wise, check!Servings are not compromised, check!Happy crew - checkAnother good thing for me is that, they are playing Christian music on their stereo - which i really didn't expect. I would definitely go back, and might even spend another monthsaries to come here... or bring my friends and family. Next time I'll try their Saigon Crackling - one if the best sellers too. So when you guys are at the Boxpark, Porkfolio is a must-try. Don't miss it ;)

Another popular stall at Box Park is Porkfolio. They serve dishes from different countries with one common main ingredient: Oven-Baked Pork Cracklings (aka: litson kawali, bagnet, or chicharon na may laman). We ordered the Quesadilla Overload for 140php. The dish was made with two plate-sized tortillas filled with pork cracklings, cheese, and a secret garlic sauce. The dish would’ve been rated higher if not for the soggy pork cracklings. It was mouth watering and perfect with beer. ** Box Park is located at Tandang Sora Avenue in Quezon City. Inspired by the container parks abroad, Box Park Manila currently features 14 food brands that are unique from each other.

While at Box Park, we can't help but notice the one preparing the Nachos in Pork Folio. He was preparing Nachos non-stop. The orders were continuous, so we got one. And it was a hit. When we go back to Box Park, Pork Folio will not be skipped. I'd like to try their Quesadilla as well. For those who are not familiar with Box Park yet, it's an establishment comprised of container vans transformed into mini restos. You'll enjoy a variety of food choices. Google it and find out more!
