Nowadays, less and less people would simply be satisfied with a Fast Food fix. Whether you are a website or not, people these days tends to explore more and look beyond the typical joint that can be found within the corner. That’s why new establishments are popping up here and there. Not only to meet the growing demand of the public but also to share to Filipinos that there is more to food than what we have been accustom to.

When I first walk by pizza places, the first thing I look at is the oven, and not the food. When it comes to pizza, that's how you know if they serve good stuff or not.And lo and behold, there stood a classic dome, powered by wood. I knew they served neapolitans without seeing the product shot. Bought a pie, amazing stuff. Made me consider moving Gino's Pizza from my favorite spot.Currently I think this is the best version of a Neapolitan Pizza in the metro. Better than Salvatore Cuomo's and Motorino's I'd have to say. Though I don't know how Plank's gonna do, but right now this is closer than Gino's to a true neapolitan because of the chew.I'd have given 5 stars but sorry the Margherita execution is wrong, Filipinos have seen a proper one with Fior de latte, basil and unadultered tomato sauce.Still, thank you for helping shape the Filipino food landscape. Charred, bubbly crusts rule, electric oven pizzas suck.

Pizzeria Amore's traditional brick oven pizza - now in UP Town Center!Welcome to Pizzeria Amore located at the cinema level of UP Town Center. Here, they offer nine kinds of brick oven pizza, as well as chicken wings in chili and garlic pepper flavors. It doesn't matter that the menu is limited, because every single item I tasted was CRAZY DELICIOUS! They have definitely perfected the art of making pizza! And take note, we got to try all the flavors in one afternoon! Now that's what you call a pizza party! You can even watch as they prepare your pizzas on the spot! The pizzas are made fresh daily so you're getting the best version possible.Plus, everything is measured so the taste and the amount of toppings they put are always consistent!

I discovered Pizzeria Amore after I stumbled upon one of their pizzas on Instagram. The bubbly dough and distinct char marks are clear signs of a pizza cooked in a wood-fired brick oven. After digging up more information online, I found out that they do have a legit brick oven. It's time for a little excursion. Those who know me well are aware that I'm obsessed with pizza. I have a particular liking for Neapolitan style pies.

My fiancé and I ordered the 3 cheese pizza. It was amazing because they prepared it from scratch. Pizza dough was stretched and placed in a long paddle. Ingredients were placed carefully and then cooked in their brick oven. In a few minutes, the pizza was cooked. It was tasty and crust was delicious. Can't wait to try the other flavors.
