My boyfriend and I just tried the coffee because we already ate lunch somewhere else and coffee is our favorite dessert 😂. Really, this is my review (drum rolls) The coffee is soooooo good. 😊😊😊PS I want to try the cakes! They are sooo cute and hopefully the taste will justify the price and designs.

Nice ambiance. It's just that one of the chairs is defective, I almost tripped. Bingsu was served around 20 minutes and it tastes..ordinary to me. However, mango graham delight is a must try.

cakes aren't as fab as they look. There is no wow factor when you take a bite at each cake. They look really cute though and they have good wifi and free taste corner where you can freely get a small piece of bread.

The matcha bingsu I got was good! And affordable at 150 pesos for a huge serving. Their bread isn't as good though. Dry and bland. Cakes on display, which looked like they've been in there forever, were also already melting while still inside the chiller.I don't think this business will last long as a bakery. 🙁

This place might seem look simpler than the other cafes in the vicinity but their menu gives justice to your visit. You will not get disappointed with the taste of their Creamy Pesto Pasta (their Pesto sauce is made from scratch), Strawberry Cheesecake Frappe and Irish Cream Coffee Frappe! My favorite breakfast options are the Butter Morning Rolls or I’ll order their promo Keopi Perfect Match which will give save you some pesos on Medium Caffe Latte and choice of either Bread or Cake slice. They have a wide selection of breads too. I love their Sausage Pastry, Mocha Stick, Cream Cheese Bun and Croquette Bread. A best place to study, work or simply satisfy your kpop cravings as they play Korean MTVs and even Koreanovelas! ❣️ And oh, try their Bingsu Korean dessert too. 💛P.S. Their Bulgogi Sandwich is value for money. The serving is humongous! Great for big appetite.

Is it just I or has South Korea already invade Manila? Every day there are new stores that scream the Korean brand. It may be through merchandise, music, television or food. Recently, I had the opportunity to indulge in their version of bakery through Papa Kim's in Tomas Morato. Two years ago, we were introduced to the wonders of fine ice via Korean Bingsu. This 2018, expect Korean bread to be the next big thing. Papa Kim's Korean Bakery & Coffee serves an array of sweet and savory bread along with milk teas, blended drinks, frappes and all sorts of coffee choices. And yes, they also have Bingsu in different flavors. Soon to come up as well are a savory line of meals, like Bulgogi sandwiches. These will be soon available in all their stores, including Antipolo and Banawe, Quezon City. On my recent visit here, I was able to share all the 16 pieces of bread I got to my girl friend's preschool staff in Little Sandbox. It was a mere 300 meters from Papa Kim's. I was able to try and bite on a few. And most I gave away and received a smile back. First I got to munch on was one of their cute Bear Breads. I had the sweet chocolate filling with a hint of dark taste. Its bread was soft and fluffy. They also serve Cream Cheese, Strawberry, Red Bean and original Custard variety. These could be a suitable gift for your kids or childlike friends. Soboro, on the other hand, was my favorite. I liked the contrast of crispy sweet crusts and soft texture of the white bread inside it. Just watch on the crumbs! Both the muffins I purchased, Choco and Green Tea were above average in taste, and they do have a close resemblance to its actual flavors. Finally, the Egg Toast was most interesting, it had a combination of two pieces of bread in one, with a bright sunny side up as its centerpiece. I am not a fan of mayonnaise, so I only had a small serving on this one. Anyway, here is a rundown of what I availed. It took me awhile to pick from a stretch of choices they have.

Rise and shine to a beautiful morning at @papakimsph wherein they recently introduce a new line up of meals that are classic, appetizing and in Filipino way. These Filipino classic favorites are inexpensive but delightful includes, the Classic Tapa for only ₱169, Gourmet Tuyo for only ₱149, Vigan Longganisa for only ₱169, Boneless Bangus Belly for only ₱219 and Pan-Fried Spam for only ₱149.Each meal comes with a fried egg, sliced tomatoes and cucumber, garlic rice and your choice of lemonade or coffee as a drink.Papa Kim’s is proud of its Filipino and Korean fusion concept as a café that serves the best coffee, frappes, milk teas, bread, pasta, and meals.I have tried the classic tapa which I can say that it is definitely an authentic Filipino dish served only at Papa Kims.I definitely love their pastries as well especially the red bean bun. They also offer Frappe, Fruit Tea, Milk Tea, Hot/Iced Drinks and Tea/Other Drinks.Since they are Korean-Filipino fusion restaurant, they have my favorite bingsu.Bingsu is a dessert with finely shaved iced with toppings on it which sometimes chocolate, red bean, matcha, etc.

I am a frequent diner at Tomas Morato area and there is so much to recommend there — from Filipino restaurants, to Korean BBQ, to fine dining. However, if you want a chill Korean night with your friends while sharing some delicious food and drinks, I know such a place: Papa Kim’s Korean Bakery and Coffee.Papa Kim’s Korean Bakery and Coffee is situated along Tomas Morato Avenue in Quezon City and they offer a vast selection of menu items, from starters, main dishes, drinks, and desserts.Upon entering the place, you will be pleasantly greeted by their staff. Their interior really gives you a bakery vibe with the presence of brown chairs and the brick designs on their wall. Also, the music in the restaurant are your favorite K-Pop hits and K-Drama OSTs. Very Korean! 🙂What I loved about Papa Kim’s is that they offer a wide selection of drinks. If you love something caffeinated, you can choose among the coffee frappes as well as the hot and iced coffee drinks. If you love cream-based drinks, they also have them in frappes. They also offer milk teas and fruit drinks, among others.Since Papa Kim’s is also a bakery, they offer a lot of fresh breads, and the bread lover in me was really, really happy!THE BEAR BREADS What caught my attention upon entering the restaurant is the presence of bear pillows by the counter, and I was informed that they serve cute bear breads that come in different flavors.Chocolate Bear BreadThe chocolate bear bread is soft and the chocolate filling is not that sweet. The Custard Bear BreadThe custard bear bread is one of my favorites! It is so rich in custard filling.BULGOGI SANDWICHESFor the bulgogi sandwiches, you can choose among chicken and beef and you can choose if you prefer a soft bread (bioche) or a hard bread (baguette).Beef BulgogiThe beef bulgogi sandwich here in Papa Kim’s is a unique concept for me because I am used to bulgogi meals which are served with rice. I never knew bulgogi can also be yummy with some bread and potato chips!PASTA NOODLES AND ICE CREAMPapa Kim’s also serve pasta and ice cream and these are something worth-trying. Creamy PestoI am a pesto lover and I just cannot miss trying the creamy pesto here at Papa Kim’s. I love how the creaminess of the pesto is just right and I am happy with the amount of Parmesan cheese in the pesto. I also love the garlic bread! Yum!Smoggy Ice CreamPapa Kim’s ice cream is vanilla with sprinkles and is served with some iced tea. It will be given to you while smoking (because there is dry ice in the bottom of the glass), hence the term ‘smoggy’ ice cream.DRINKSBerry CheesecakeThis is highly-recommended is one of the bestsellers of Papa Kim’s.ButterscotchAnother specialty of Papa Kim’s in the cream-based frappe section.CoffeeI was not able to try the coffee drinks of Papa Kim’s but it is something that you should not miss. Their coffee is available in so (small), jung (medium), and dae (large).CAKESAnother specialty of Papa Kim’s is their unique selection of cakes, which are available in both slices and whole.Blueberry CheesecakeI am a lover of blueberry cheesecakes and all of them tastes the same. But this one, it tastes different. A must-try indeed.Choco Cream CheesecakeI love it when the chocolate is not really that sweet, and is complemented with just the right amount of creaminess.Fresh Fruit CakeI highly recommend this cake because it tastes so creamy and you will taste a lot of fresh fruits inside it. Yum!!Why am I recommending Papa Kim’s Korean Bakery and Coffee again? If you love a chill night out with your friends and/or family with some Korean music and a great selection of food (whether you want to eat heavy or just have some bread and dessert), then Papa Kim’s is the perfect place for you. The place is very accessible with public transportation and has a very comfortable interior. You can also have a wide selection of breads which you can take home. They offer 50% discount on breads from 9PM to 11PM. How cool is that?Papa Kim’s Korean Bakery and Coffee is located along Tomas Morato Avenue, Quezon City.Facebook: PapaKimsKoreanBakeryAndCoffee

Sadly, we got disappointed with our order of the Creamy Pesto Pasta. It looked good but it tastes bland. Even the chicken toppings they didn’t bother to season. It was also expensive at P255. We were hoping to salvage the pasta with some parmesan cheese but they charge extra for this, No way! The garlic bread was too hard (don’t know if it is supposed to be that way?). Good thing the custard bread we ordered was soft and okay. The servers were not knowledgeable and looked timid. We lost our appetite and did not order anything else aside from the pesto and bread. (We initially wanted to try some milkteas or cakes.)Will not return here anytime soon (or ever?).
